AnonD-136279, 29 Sep 2016I'd love to have the Physical Keyboard back! but not Portra... moreI love the physical keyboard too. Also, on landscape mode - I used to have an Nokia E7, excellent build quality slider! A QWERTY slide keyboard fits excellent on a 5.5", and keys big enough for guys with big hands.
Of course, not for $750!

ZTE Axon 7 = $399. How much can cost to add a sliding side keyboard? I'm willing to pay $440 for a good quality slider, identical specs.

I'm confused right now. I'm using 2 BB with physical keyboard for daily use. BlackBerry OS 10 works perfectly for me. Passport is great for mailings, news, etc., Classic for all kinds of communication. I normaly change my phones every two years and stick to the brand - now I don'k know what to do? Switch to Apple? I just wanted to buy a new Passport SE...

Omg it's of no use having so many physical buttons in a phone.... Technology has been changed, people have been changed... Blacl berry is already almost dead due to such old century decisions. They had to make such things years back not now, what others are doing now, blackberry will decide to implement that several years ahead in future lolz.

Indeed, it isn't going anywhere. It stays in the Blackberry museum.

Blackberry is a prime example of what happens when a company loses focus of it's market. All they needed to do to succeed in 2014-16 was make a Bold 9700 with a modern camera/CPU that ran Android and business users will buy them in droves. We don't care about watching Youtube or playing games on our business phones we just need a smallish phone with amazing communications.

The REAL solution to this is actually quite simple.
Find a phone with a removable backplate, and make an ALTERNATIVE backplate with a e.g. BT slider keyboard.

LG has played with the at the least slightly modular approach, so BB could build on that to give a better solution without extra battery/charging. They would only need to make the keyboard and not the entire device.

They could even offer both a LANDSCAPE and a PORTRAIT slider. Depending on how huge a phablet they use as the base device. Hoping for a phone sized device with a landscape keyboard is too optimistic

This CEO is not sure What is he doing!

Tactile keypads will forever hold a special place in my heart. If i get too nostalgic, i might even consider getting that external physical keypad thing for the note 7.

They should have something like passport, classic,Q5,Q10.
                                    Best of both worlds.
