You're right about MediaTek though, their chipsets under-perform and run hot. I'll stick with SD, or heck even the Atom in my Zenfone over MediaTek any day.

Gionee S6 Pro is now available in Nepal at Rs.34999 ($329)

Gionee is suffering from HTC syndrome...i.e. of making their phones too pricey. They will be out of the competition soon. Their phones are priced at least 50% more than the common estimate of the market. They use Mediatek SOC and charge premium from the customers. People are not fools anymore.

Regarding service, Gionee too has a very good service network. I owned Gionee S5.5 once and my personal experience with the service center was good.

But if you are comparing with Samsung they have the A7 for 26k which has a better screen, better brand name and FAR better service than this Chinese brand Gionee.

Heck the Vivo V3 Max has a much better chipset and costs a good 5k less.

Gionee are truly deluded from pricing this lower mid-range device this high when there are better and cheaper options, I wonder the type of fools that will buy this gionee S6 pro, the blind and foolish ones perhaps, because they should be able to see better phones around them, well if Gionee is not careful with their ridiculous pricing they will go extinct in the China phone market soon.
