"Premium" brands need a certain design language and consistency. You can't be 'this' one day and suddenly 'that' the next, which is where Samsung went so wrong. Xiaomi has been more consistent from the start. That they've taken their inspiration from Apple was never a secret...
Lumia phones followed that standard very closely too under Nokia, they were unmistakeable.

iphone 7 plus ripoff. -_- my best bet is that chinese phones starting this year till 2018 will look like iphone 7 plus if iphone7s plus won't change their design.

But that's all it was, hype, companies capitalizing on Apple. Normal people in skinny jeans don't normally force their mobile down into their crotch, it's just uncomfortable. Even the iPhone 7 easily looses its water resistance if flexed too much.

no problem with copying design... look at other electronic stuffs such as television, notebook or air cond, they have almost same design... most people dont care about it...

I think they should go just one step further and change the top front of the phone to something a bit less like the iPhone.
