Amazon app store used to have a similar feature, it was nice but a bit slow .
Also this feature isn't really going to check compatibility or check if the app or game would really work in the device or if the game will be slow or lag, anyway for paid apps and games there is still 2 hours limit to get a refund

Trial is actually a very cool feature that works well on windows 8-10 app store, so hopefully, it'll work well on play store too

10 minutes arent enough expand it to atleast 20-30 minutes. I wonder how 3D games will be like on old low end phones

Marvin, 04 Oct 2016I am curious how will they mitigate the difference in hardw... moreThis is what i concern too. They should just allow the dev to create another file that is atleast 5-10% of the game content and downloadable as a demo.

A nice idea, so irritating with all the hassle of installing and uninstalling after a very short time, when an app did not do what you expected it to - however that it is ran on an external server, make it almost useless for the purposes I normally get apps. But for stuff like games, I do see the potential. and I would not at all be surprised, is this is the start of a new alternative Per-Minute-Usage pay model. And it would allow for very complex multi-user games, with many participants....

I am curious how will they mitigate the difference in hardware and incompatible devices. An application might as well work flawlessly on the google server, but once in the client device it might not even start.

all fun..but your theory will work on a google fibre network..some elements need to rest in the device or the data charges will rip a hole on its way out
