BenQ-Siemens SL91, E81 and E71

ive heard sl91 might not be out in uk because its incompatable with local networks,and that upsets me a LOT! can anyone aducate me on that, being true or false pls?! tnx

The siemens SL series never fails to impress in the looks department and the SL91 is a prime example. This phone is definately high class compared to other sony ericsson phones. It seems like it is specifically made for successful individuals.

i would say i am really impressed with the SL91. Its features are awesome, just what i want. I woulnt not mind getting one but i have got nokia N73 which is very rescent.

About theses phones, i like these phones, i dont consider copy of anything because follows siemens design style. I am impressed with SL91 features but wait because not only is a matter of charge a lot of functions, its a usability question too. Badly siemens UI is quite difficult to use, for me is quite complex. Hope that newest BenQ Siemens phones improves this parameter.
And follow the tradition I am almost sure about the SL91 camera capabilities: It behind SE, maybe in the level of nokia. But take into account that the difference is minimal between both camera phones and in general terms it will be comparable to nokia latest N series. Only is my opinion, maybe the future contradict my state, i hope this because the competence between makers makes happy the users: day to day us will buy better things at lesser prices and force the manufactures to improve their products more and more... congratulations BenQ-Siemens!!

k800i uses cybershot lenses,best pic program,and xenon flash.keep in mind also that k800i will be available 5months earlier than sl91.also se will surely have another 3.2mpw for q4.remember w800 and w900?finally all companies copy from one-another but not all models they announce are based on other models like BQS.

All this talk of BenQ-Siemens copying is absolute tosh! ALL phone manufacturers copy each others ideas, it's the way of the world. After all, look how much success Samsung has had with slider phones, you don't hear anyone complaining about how they copied that from Siemens. And Nokia have been putting new clothes on old designs for years now with their S40 phones! Again not too many complaints there either.
And as for the comment stating "thirdly k800i camera is way much better than benq-siemens sl91", how can you know this? Have you access to the SL91 to compare, or are you just telepathic?? No one outside BQS has seen any photos from the SL91 yet so don't knock it before you see it......
I for one hope its a success, its a beautiful looking phone with great specs. And it would look great added to my collection of Nokia, SE and Siemens phones.......

what is that new success but I think this phone is just on paper only they re announce about the idea then start doing the project that is very bad for you siemens like Sxg75 when it release or Sx1.
The Siemens have got Low-prices and the quality only.
but they doesn't have the speed in releasing.
And they - and every compny in the world- cant collect all these pionts ( Low-prices,quality,and speed).
they should take care of speed and the quality no need to low-prices.

benq siemens is at its early stages so it thinks that if copying from successful models will give market share and money to develop their own models.however that seems not to be working because they cant surpass the features other models have.so try harder benq-siemens.try upgrading past siemens portofolio they are good past models there e.g sx1

Yes! I repeat, the SL91 3.2 megapixels camera with autofocus is gonna be AWESOME! I am very satisfied with S88's camera so this must be much better than that! It's so exciting!
And the screen quality is amazing too.

Well S88 copies from K750i, and other benq-siemens phones cpoies from 7270,7270 thats EL71 sl91 copies again tech from Lg chocolate and V3x EF81 but simply change the operation with it's touch-sensitive pad, what a joke is this, they almost adapted(or copied) unique technologies with all phones then produce high-end phones there,
BTW. K800 has very sophisticated features uncomparable with SAMSUNG,MOTOROLA, so if you think it's bulky, go with the benq-siemens phone with the same features with it, EF91? Lol, truly a joke...

The "C" button is already on Siemens SXG75. And also BenQ-Siemens EF81. It's because they're using Brew.
And SL91's 3.2 megapixels camera with auto-focus is gonna be AWESOME!
But the one that really got my attention is E71.
I'm gonna buy it for sure. Too bad there's no music button though.

to the guy that compared sl91 and k800i1/firstly k800 is not bulky have you looked at sl91 thickness.2/secondly it will appear 6months later than k800i.3/thirdly k800i camera is way much better than benq-siemens sl91...so dont compare easily these phones so easily

SL91 is planned for 11/2006 at 400-450 Euros, E71 & E81 are planned for 09/2006 at 170 - 200 Euros. This, obviously, concerns Europe....
E71 uses "Liquid Glass" completely new material (& looks)
Note the "C" key on both SL91 & E81 which is so unusual for a Siemens phone....

BenQ-Siemens newest phones look so good and also in response to a earilier comment BenQ help to build a lot of the Nokia smartphonew so really they aren't copyin Nokia its just they are doin what they are used to

This is the best phone ever. Good job BenQ-Siemens. It has 16M colors and a better design than LG Chocolate. Also knowing that siemens (and newly benq-siemens) have amazing price to features ratio it's not going to be that expensive. Comparing it with an other mobile wouldn't be possible since it's only the second with a touch sensitive keypad, one of the first with 16 million colors (and the only one with a decent design) and I can't think of an other mobile with a desk cradle wich is used for charging and connecting the phone to the PC for syncronization and has an intergraded microphone, speakers and color light signals to notify for events
