Microsoft Surface Keyboard and Surface Mouse in the works, pictured

Surface, Surface, Surface everywhere. That's what Microsoft's basically been doing in the past few years in the hardware space, and for the near future you should expect even more of that. So how about a Surface Keyboard and a Surface Mouse?

I would have to search the net to find it and it may not even be older than that so I'll just let you have this one hehe.

Dot-WiFi, 07 Oct 2016because apple already have trackpad ?? Does it sth to do with this?

It might sounds weird but I do have both OS.
Microsoft's take of trackpad gesture is more intuitive such as swipe down to show desktop (Mac: spread fingers...why!), horizontal swipe to switch apps without extra click just like Alt+Tab (Mac: need extra clicking after Expose...).
Unlike iPhone, dated Mac OS has tons of counter-intuitive things. e.g: Once you minimize apps, it doesn't pop up when you hit Command+Tab, and wtf is Ctrl+F3, just to set the cursor on the dock.. etc. etc. I do have two Mac since 2012 but it's still frustrating.

Sorry off-topic, anyway I really hope to see "gesture-control above the keyboard" feature that Microsoft is developing in the lab.

The mouse looks almost identically to a Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Mouse. I have one of these and it is a very good mouse for day-to-day use, but this is what I use it for, not for games or some sophisticated tasks. I consider it my best mouse until today and I managed to pair very easy the mouse with the Windows laptops and with the Android smartphone and tablet (but they have to have at least the Lollipop version). It is quite ergonomic in spite of its plain aspect. I have a bluetooth keyboard as well, a no-name model, cheap and efficient, it paired as easy as the mouse did. These are basic accessories, probably specialized producers will release also more sophisticated models (for gamers and so on) at a different price.

What's the fun part of this keyboard?

They've been researching gesture-control by fingers over the keyboard for years and its demo was really cool, but still hasn't see the light of day.
And usually their first implementation has much rough edge on it.

I don't want to see that other company, (say, Apple?) implements such goodies first and all the credits are tanken, and people say "Microsoft copys it!"... we're sick of it.
Microsoft, you better get it over with!!

well..there are only some ways to make a keyboard...and in its defense, microsoft does have their ergonomic keyboard and the morre adventurous sidewinder x6, with detachable keypad...
i use a corsair k70..its awesome, worth the extra cost, bit on the heavy side though

This sandwich style keyboard is original to Apple who announced it in 2007 as far as I know. This is when other PC manufacturers apart from Sony didn't care to make attractive products. Considering MS is selling a laptop (Surface Pro) separately from the keyboard, I can see these items being sold separately from a supposedly "All in One"
