I been a nokia user too from symbian era. But symbian apps are few and if symbian os was updated to many times do you think it can compete with windows, android, ios. Symbian was a good os for mobile phones. But the development of symbian was slow and android and ios catches up quickly had a better App store. Windows on the other hand is a good alternative OS. windows phone 7 was immature, windows phone 8/8.1 and windows 10 mobile were a good step OS of continuity. Redstone will be a good update especially in continuum. Intels processors is not ready yet thats why microsoft is delaying to support native x86 apps in windows mobile. For the mean time microsoft release project centennial to support x86 app to be converted to windows store apps and vertualization through server. Thats why if continuum for x86 apps natively support comes in windows 10 mobile. It will be a huge advantage for microsoft.

Well. Windows phone is not dying I know. It still works for sure, not worth this price for such a specs and OS. am not an windows fan nor andriod. am a Meego and Maemo lover. Linux for sure and by far Meego which is operated in Nokia N9 ten times better than this crap so called WP. I have this phone for over than 3 year, not a single bug or lag.

Its not dead OS its alive dude and it has same life cycle as as your Windows 10 desktop OS. Windows 10 as microsoft as continues to updated versions until the end of its life cycle. For people who who dont understand windows updates because their android OS is feeling superior which is not.

It would just be another average Android phone with all the bugs, errors and general lack of stability and smart features.

I'm actually on release preview which is still anniversary update. Only issue I have now is that it gets warm while gaming and battery goes quick. Happened after a specific update. Hope they resolve this one as the battery drains way more than ever and I'm playing the same games.

Unfortunately it's to expensive for what your getting. In terms of support and apps.

My Lumia 950 that has weaker chip works smooth and fast after those updates and i have never seen my phone crash. And Microsoft has really done nice work eliminating bugs that came with anniversary update.

I have been waiting for this device but my current 950 XL has become slow, sluggish, crash-prone and vague (basically allover the place) after a flurry of 3 major updates in the last few weeks. The whole damn thingy is so beta and a bad beta at that.
