Basically a cheap looking HTC10 costing £100's more in the UK, a strange move by Google when Samsung already had that area of the market covered by the impressive S7 range. Why buy a Pixel over a cheaper S7?

The Google event was the biggest event in 2016. It meant more than just smartphones and signalled a global shift, a greater focus on ai. This is gonna change the way many industries in the world work.

The phone itself isn't for me, but I do think it will get a moderate share of the market, coming behind Samsung and Apple for the premium share of the pie. LG, Sony and HTC are non-existent there. It'll do better than the niche nexus series too most likely.

It looks somewhat short of bang for the buck. Full OS support is nice.

Wonder how they feel after getting rid of Motorola. That looked like the right platform to develop their own premium brand as well as best of class midrange phones.

Its a piece of shi**e this phone. The price and ugly design are off putting and not even an IP6X certification!
