Report: The 32GB iPhone 7 Plus uses a much slower storage, our tests show

07 October 2016
Our recent tests as part of the iPhone 7 Plus review revealed that the 32GB model scores substantially worse in read/write speeds than the bigger storage versions.

Maybe its not actually worse/slower storage, but only one NAND chip on the 32gb model, and 4 on the 128 model.

That would make reading/writing less pararlel, and cause this.

SAME thing happens on SSDs of lower capacity.
This might also happen on other devices like older nexus, new pixel, or even 16 vs 64gb iphones.

AnonD-1825, 08 Oct 2016No it beats all the android phones in the marketPut Android OS on an iPhone and lets see if it beats other android phones. ^_^

Android is a full OS while IOS is shell that run apps. IOS is way way lighter and easier to run.

But the topic is the terrible storage for 32GB option of the very expensive Iphone 7. Stay on topic.

AnonD-1825, 07 Oct 2016Funny part is Samsung doesn't even use SSD thats why their ... moreYou should read what SSD stands for as that type of storage (flash memory) had been used for a long, long time... SD cards (and every other type alike) use it, USB flash drives use it, SSD use it, EMMC use it, UFS use it.

Apple's implementation its kinda different from Samsung's as it have a SLC cache for a faster writing, but when its full, oh boy! its pretty slow.

I wonder what you say about this ;) you see very similar stuff? Reading speed are almost same, with write speeds huge difference when chosing higher capacity

And no this has nothing to do with Apple, you should do some research how SSD storage works.
