Alongside the Pixel phones, Google also released a new power adaptor for the phones that comes bundled with the phone.

    Anker and RavPower are making high quality Lightning and USB-C cables at the moment. Even Mophie makes some good USB-C and MicFlip makes reversible Micro-USB cables. Why dont flagship phones ship with double nylon braided, gold plated and aluminium housing cables .-., when theyr phones cost nearly 1000€?

      There are not many good quality USB C charger along with USB C cable, all future portable devices will be coming equipped with this magnanimous and lovely port for charging and connectivity. Priceless -great work Google!!

Apple also offers 12W ($19) and 29W ($49) and if I compare the price, I can also get it much cheaper.         And the 2 meter cable only costs € 8.69 http://www.ebay.de/itm/Original-Apple-2m-Lightning-USB-Daten-Ladekabel-MD819ZM-A-iPhone-iPod-iPad-/201541960783?clk_rvr_id=1106603290799&rmvSB=true again from that source.
        And these cables broke easily, that is right. But they fixed that since 2013. I broke my first one but my second one lasts since 2014 until today with no issues.
        But you don't have to buy original cables. You can also buy a MFi certified cable. On amazon, there are tons of these and you can get them as cheap as € 5 for a quality one which should last long. You also don't have to buy original apple wall plugs. For example, Sony makes also good ones and pretty cheap.

Apple charger charges 2x slower than regular and costs more. Compared to 18W, it charges around 4x slower. That's funny. Also, don't forget that cables break quite often. How much could a simple 1m cable cost, you might ask. 25$. Insane pricing is insane. At least google is offering something for the price, while apple gives a downgrade compared to other phones. By the way Google's charger just became available. The price will go down a lot in a month or two.

              Buy Apple or Qualcomm certified charger from Amazon for far less. An Apple certified 24W dual charger is only $12 and no bigger than iPad charger

                Seems like a very good push into the future, when USB C will be the only connector (so bye bye micro USB, USB A, Lightning, 3.5mm, and HDMI)

                          regs, 08 Oct 2016Seriously? $35 for a charger?Better than apple iphone charger. It has an output of 1A 5V, which is equal to 5W and, if I remember correctly, apple charges you 50$ or more for it.
