AppleIsBest, 11 Oct 2016Jealous android users looking this news lol. I have very ol... moreIt isn't jealousy. Your iPhone will run like molasses eventually by the next update and battery life will be terrible.

Planned obsolescence. Look it up. Apple forces you to update. You can't turn off the notification. You restore your iPhone because of all the gunk inside like the app cache stored in "Other" and iTunes forces you to update. What you believe is great software updates is disguised as planned obsolescence from Apple.

The best and fastest firmware is usually the one the phone came with. The one engineers married with the hardware before it got released. Software updates beyond 2+ years are for suckers. Good luck with iOS11 for your 5s when it starts to run like garbage and time to buy another phone over and over. I want to use a phone that can last 5-10 years. Not 3-4.

The reality is, the update is spam locked. The user can't do anything unless they update or turn off their device and turn it back to bypass the spam lock. Besides, with every new update there's always more problems. I would rather wait until it's at the end of 10.x.x for a clean and stable iOS

AnonD-100975, 11 Oct 2016Given that an entry level g4 performs as well as an iPhone ... moreMy mother has a moto G3 and the camera isn't the best but OK!But when it comes to gaming and multitasking it's lugging a lot(personal experience)! My mother got it as a gift but she isn't fond of smartphones and she basically use it for phone calls, sms and taking pictures(also I thought her how to surf the net!).
Personally I still have my 5+ years old galaxy mini and it works just fine for normal use but anyway I don't use my phone a lot!

I am facing issues on my 2 iPhone 6 devices after ios10 upgrade
          - Overheating while using and charging
          -quick battery discharge
-Calling app hang issue (very frequent)
          -experiencing jitters while using

Jealous android users looking this news lol. I have very old iphone 5s and still getting such amazing updates, ios10 runs great on this old beast phone. Feels like i have new phone again :) no need to buy new one.

We put iOS 10 on the iPhone 5S, it runs amazingly on such old hardware, but I am not happy with how it looks. AT ALL. So much wasted space and confusion, with the notifications and widgets panel, text is way too squashed on the small panel of the 5S! Also, blobs, seriously the simple gradients of iOS 7-to-9 were MUCH better and cohesive, oh well.

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2016so? most people still prefer android. Well probably no, but for 1 or 2 iPhone releases a year, there are maybe 400 android devices released in all different price classes. People who want a smartphone but can't afford the ridiculous iPhone pricetags, it's easy to get a cheap android.

I updated my iPhone 6 to iOS 10 but there are some things that annoy me. For example the quick toggle bar pulled from the bottom. You can now swipe left and right for more options, but when I want to adjust the screen brightness, it easily swipes to the right or left instead of swiping the bar for brightness. That really annoys me.

Additionally the camera is better than the iPhone 6.

Your statement is a little inaccurate. You could buy a G4 every year and assuming you sold it for half the price you purchased you would have either an iPhone 5 or have £260 and a brand new G4. The iPhone 5 would have been superior for the first 2 years but not the last 2.

I like android and I am a long-term user but one thing that makes me want to buy an iPhone is that their phones even a 4 years old phone gets the latest software updates and also their OS is well optimized on their devices, for example the iPhone 5 with 1GB ram and a 1.3GHz dual-core CPU performs well above the most mid-range phones today! In addition because of the well optimized OS the apps run better(it is easier for the developer to make better apps on iOS because there is one OS,few phones that are similar in a few ways!),better buttery even though having small batteries the OS and of course the hardware made specifically to work well with the OS!
*Maybe they also have fewer security bugs!

People are so happy with how their Android phones work, that they don't feel the need to update/upgrade, whereas iSheep have had such a terrible time on their phones, they update just to hope that they'll have a better time.

All my friends who have Apple products ask me how to fix their problems, the last Windows problem I had to fix for someone under the age of 30 was 7 years ago. The last Mac problem was last year...

I am writing this on a iPhone 6 running iOS 10 but the UX and several bugs annoy me. They mainly revolve around Bluetooth connection and the notification screen. Both of which were superior on Android and Windows phone...

                                    Bluetooth issues -
Spotify occasionally connects and plays double speed. Have to close and restart app
Apple music occasionally connects and has horrible music quality, like interference on a radio. Need to close and restart
BBC radio sometimes pays with no sound. Need to close and restart
The recent callers menu is duplicated making quick selection difficult (this is also the case in Windows phone but not android)

                                    Notification menu
The notifications can be acted upon by swiping left and right, but this is also the gesture to open the camera or widgets and so this occurs by accident.
It takes multiple clicks to get from the notification menu to the notification in the application
The quick view never shows the full message
The quick response loads Apple's keyboard and not your selected keyboard

                                    Sound
It is difficult to quickly set all of your different sounds to for example quickly mute a video before it starts to play

                                    Browsing
Videos can auto play full screen disrupting your browsing
