Dont loose "NOTE" brand, We truely love note brand....please keep the same name and asap release new note line, (note 8 or note 7A what ever) take survey on who love on note brand name, most people with NOTE brand, if u let die da note name it will be the next curse on SAMSUNG flag ship. For only time,in next FEB release da new note 8 with the S8 :) we love you note

Note 7 is just a Galaxy S7 with a pen. There is nothing special or groundbreaking about it. Samsung killed the Note brand long before the battery started exploding. The innovation of Note died a long time ago.

"...more than 50% of a survey carried by Samsung, including people in South Korea, said that the “Note” brand now carries a negative connotation." Lol that happened to me after they came up with Note 5. Can't hold a candle to Note 4.

i really think they shouldn't change the brand "note" but if the survey shows that it has a negative connotation then yeah... they need to come up with something good to come back, this will be a sad month for some T.T

Provided SAMSUNG fires all the managers in the execute chain that were responsible for the Note7 production and quality checks (possibly spreading worldwide their names, to avoid any other Company taking the misfortune to hire them...), they should keep the product line and features, s-pen above all.
It's the best product of its kind world-wide and they can keep improving it, mantaining the leadership, regardless of these shamefull events.

Think they need to use the S8 branding so an S8 Pro would be the best option. Since all will have edge displays you could have a line up of S8 (5.1-5.2 inch), S8 Plus (5.5 inch) and S8 Pro (5.8-6.0 inch with S Pen).
