well nicely played this time, reasuring the customers is something positive. now the real test will be to see if they heed thier costomers advice and trully aren't crooks who only want money by providing phones with a user replaceable battery and also offer water and dust resistance like in the galaxy s5... waiting eagerly to see how thier next phone will be and it will show the mantle of samsungs mobile divisions true intent towards us as customers. how come thier phone's lack a basic thing like fm radio and still sold at such a high price? time to realy refocus on user satisfaction for them if they want to continue dominating the ohone market in my view.

Hats off to honesty and courage of this man.
I was never a fan of Samsung. But I respect this man and support him. I would want him to continue to lead.

Don't worry Samsung, your apology is accepted. I still support you regardless of this whole fiasco. P.S. I'm still waiting for my Note7 to explode... nothing happened yet. And no, I did not consider replacing it yet.

Wrath, 13 Oct 2016the king will soon redeem its throneDon't worry, they will not lose the smartphone sales king... Even if we remove all flagship sales (S+note), samsung still sells more smartphones in the low+mid range than apple in volume. That 20-30 millions lifetime note7 sales is a scratch compared to the 300+ millions of smartphone samsung sells per year.

It's touching how his employees respect him so much.

well at least he knows it's their fault and he takes the blame, that's a nice thing to do.
Remember people, be sorry when you do mistakes and accept the blame like men!
