Makes a real change to read a proper reply, instead of the usual inane drivel you get on here. I have never owned a Note, but was seriously considering getting a Note 7 for my next phone. The S Pen was something I was seriously looking forward to using!

In Lebanon we are getting a free Gearfit 2 as we should have had with the prebooking and if we chose to buy the S7 Edge instead of getting the refund we will also get on top of the Gearfit 2 a Gear VR, the company is doing it's best to compensate for the inconvenience made by the Note 7 failure we should really appreciate all the efforts.

Sometimes I'd like a very portable device I carry to draw or paint with. No need to carry heavy equipment around. Devices like the Note series are making it possible to do things.

Samsung is manufacturing more S7 and S7 edge to compensate the note 7 but why not also improve the updates of firmware too it should also give the new Android nougat update early as possible.

@Dovice - You can use the included USB-C to USB-A adaptor, and then just plug in any device as you normally would if you were charging from the wall. Obviously it drains the phone battery a bit, but things like smartwatches typically only have a 300mAh battery :).
@TheGodfather - Thank you. It's possible he made the statement thinking everyone would agree. Judging from the comments, there's quite a few Note7 users that enjoyed the pen and used it regularly. Those that seem to frown upon it the most seem like they haven't tried the device.

If you want real productivity, you get a PC with a full OS, real programs, and a keyboard and mouse. All you can do is fiddle around until you get to a proper machine.

These are the first options? If I want a Note 7 and, by unfortunate circumstances (boom), is not available anymore, the first phone to replace it will be a Note 5, not an iPhone. Of course, with the minimal condition that I will use the Note 7 for productivity and not for showoff, in that case the iPhone wins...

"that nobody really uses past the first week anyway" totally agreed. No one bothers the pen much, most or all just ignore the pen. Stop flaming gsmarena, its very true!
Secondly, usb c is no big deal.. the transfer rate is still snail, because the internal storage is snail, sd card is snail. The only good thing about it is the reversable connector. Thats all!

I started using the note since it first came out, I found the S pen very useful and is the main reason I'm still choosing the note over other phones! and NO, the s7 edge is not exactly like note.

I think the name of every blogger / writer should be mentioned along with their article, just to know the quality of his articles as well as how much bias he has been thoughout. (i wanted to write " how much bullshit he has written so far" but don't want to be rude).
I have tried almost all companies; didn't like features of iPhone, was not comfortable with it (there was nothing in it to explore), HTC (back/app buttons are switched) and LG. I have the S7 edge and m happy with it. I was waiting for note 7 but ........ everybody knows all stories. you cannot deny the utilization of S pen, for sure.
