I purchased Lumia 640 @8k (120$) and my friend purchased Grand prime @14k (200$)17 months ago..... Now he is getting offers 60 dollars and I'm getting 80-85 dollars offer..... He is facing low battery, hang, low internal memory and samsung only given one update 5.0 not even 5.1....All applications available in windows but arrogant behaviour of microsoft many leave windows phone.....They promised first they will give Windows 10 update to all windows 8 phones and suddenly they changed there mind.... See what happened now :)

Like it or not Microsoft have not given up on Mobile - FACT!
Why? Answer: Windows 10, one OS across multiple platforms - PC, Surface, Mobile, Xbox, IOT, Hololens. If they give up on one, they give up on every platform.
Microsoft have decided to concentrate on 'Enterprise' for at least another year, whilst they work on where to go next with mobile. SurfacePhone will likely come out, will it be a game changer, who knows, but I wouldn't count them out.. People dissed Microsoft when they entered the gaming market, also when they entered with Surface tablets - well look where they are now!
The Microsft Lumia 950 and Acer Liquid Jade Primo have been known about and available for nearly 12 months. Agree, over-priced to begin with. Though, currently prices for both devices are below £260. For phones (minus display dock) with the specifications they carry, these are great deals... Am not surprised stocks are selling out as the only alternative is the lower spec'ed Lumia 550, 650 and other OEM brands.
I held of and got a Dual-Sim Lumia 950 for £233 delivered, due to drop through my door any day. Firmware and Windows 10 Anniverasary update has ironed out most of the problems since its horrendous introduction in Nov last year.
Did look into Android, but couldn't find Dual-Sim with equal specs to match my needs.
OnePlus3 with no AMOLED, no thanks; HTC 10, no dual-sim; HTC 10 Desire Pro, too big.
Microsoft Lumia 950 - nice size, 1440 x 2560 pixels (~565 ppi pixel density) AMOLED, dual-sim, dedicated micro-sd, removeable battery, 16/20MP camera, iris scanning, quick charge.. etc.. Oh, an all the apps I need!
True fans are and will stay with the Windows ecosystem and those that left may come back to the fold, but it will be down to what Microsoft does next, I hope (and I know this is a huge one) they take their time and ensure it hits the ground running!

Poor acer. A good manufactures device domed for failure due to poor choice of operating system.
Guess they thought they'd have less competition in the MS mobile realm.
Unfortunately we have to continue the Darwinian theory of evolution & allow this weaker part of the herd to trail off and die.

Price cut because they sold like 80 units in a month. Amazon Fire Phone went from $649 to $140 with 1 year Prime in like 7 months.
