3 December, 2010
Android 2.3 Gingerbread is not out yet despite the old rumors of a November launch. But it should be almost done - Google Hong Kong even used it in a video tutorial for Voice Search. The visible changes are quite...

He just described how google voice integrated to google's search could help you find the restaurant, or shopping place simply by saying the location's address or store name. A map would appear and show you the directions.

I'm not cantonese, so it might not be as exact as what he says in the video. :) I just understood some words in the subtitle. :D

In the first picture, the comparaison is with Eclair (2.1) and not with Froyo (2.2).

The video is telling you how to set up the voice search in your android cellphone. 1) install it from android market. 2) After installed, change the language in your cellphone "Settings" -> "Voice input & output" -> "Voice recognizer settings" -> "Language" -> after set, exit. To operate it, go to app "Voice Search" or "Google Search". Then you just tell your phone what you need to search. It will search for you.

Look at all of the iphones. Was there a big difference in all of them? No. Spite the fact your point is just useless garbage gingerbread is not even out yet and your calling it a fail.

The video is a demo on how to obtain, configure and use Google Voice Search. That's all.

the whole video is basically about the guy explaining how to use google voice search(w/ cantonese). "like if i was in castaway bay and i said castaway bay map, it would show that". and it can mix both english and chinese, so the guy said "IFC restaurant" google will search the restaurants around that area. it's basically it. how do i know you might ask? because i can understand cantonese =]. for those who are curious

Nothing special in the video... the first part teach how to use Cantonese voice service on iphone, then for android, finally usage of voice service, again nothing special except Cantonese support.
