Shame the 10nm weren't ready for this chip. Next year is going to see massive performance improvements with all the socs. Wish some good stuff will trickle down to cheaper phones. Please don't leave us with 14nm/16nm octacore a53 budget phones manufacturers!

Nowadays Note is all about rehashing the s series and adding pen support. They would simply put a wacom digitizer to Galaxy S and be done with it , but noooo they want people to pay anew for the same product...
I was actually happy that Note 7 was recalled... It was a message to Samsung that they should not halfa$$ their flagships.

Yeah, thats why Android has better battery life even with much much core compare with dual core from iPhone 6s Plus or even with Quad Core from iPhone 7 series.

Many will not agree with me in following:
Nice step forward from Huawei. But I think Kirin 950-955 was powerful enough, everything seems to be about more and more cores, more Ghz, 95% of the users never use their phone's ability at 100%. It should be more focused on Software-OPTIMIZATION. And it's about profit, phonemakers can play fool with people all over the world, and they pay and pay and pay, just to have 1 frame per second more, when playing one of the idiot games out there. It is funny, isn't it? Serious man never play on a mobile.
Frankly, who of you uses VR in every day life? This is only for experts, at least in current develpoment status.

This is pretty interesting news. So basically Huawei just made an improved Exynos 8890, which is alwasy great to see, since theyr gpu's and LTE connectivity options were fairly outdated and underpowered.

It's just that Huawei used low end version of the same GPU with only 4 cores. And unlike CPU architecture GPU gets much more use from multiple cores. Two powerful cores are good for CPU (S820, A10) but more GPU cores is always better option.
