Antennagate 2: HTC responds to the HD7 antenna death grip

3 December, 2010
The iPhone 4 isn't the only smartphone suffering from bad reception indeed. We already reported, that the HTC HD7 is among the other affected too. And here's what HTC has to say about the issue: it's perfectly...

Hahahaha! I like what GSMARENA said on the last part:
"Luckily, HTC didn't start blaming other companies, like you-know-who."

HTC's phones loosing some bars of reception is nothing like Apple's dropped calls. Stop comparing them, just to make Apple less guilty. Apple sacrificed basic RF design principles in order for their girl-toy to be eye-candy, by exposing the antenna. HTC's antennas are embeded in the plastic covers and it is inevitable for them to loose some signal strength but they are still keeping the connection alive no matter how you hold the phone (well, if you wrap your hands in alluminum foil and then grab the covers, then yes - you are holding it wrong ;) )

GSMarena thanks for pointing out the issue which will make manufactures to be concerned before bringing anything in the market but honestly i don't think that the things are that bad with this very cell phone.
Firstly, they are right to say that antenna is located at the position where there is least possibility of user contact and I am sure they are right. losing one or 2 signals while using the device is not abnormal but still should be avoided in such high-end devices where users have high expectations.
by the way GSMarena, I am your fan.
