I mean it can be implemented without updating to nougat. Like samsung galaxy s7 and nvidia shield k1 tablet already have the vulkan api. But they are still on marshmallow. So moto g4 will get nougat without vulkan IMO. It would be cool if it supports it. Also it can be possible that before updating moto asked for drivers from qualcom.

Can someone tell me how Lenovo managed to port Vulkan on the G4 Play? It uses an unsupported SoC by Qualcomm, who stated they won't update the drivers of the SD410 to support Vulkan. Remember supporting Vulkan is required in order to run Nougat

That's cool. I'm compare to that Samsung s7 will get update after the release of s8 and galaxy s6 will never see the light despite being running on capable hardware.

pratiush, 20 Oct 2016Damn!! That is ridiculously quick!!ofcourse it should be as motorola's UI is closest to stock android so it will take less time for them to make it.not like other OEMs who are theming their UI making it heavy so that with each update your phone gets slower.
