Apple will buy it??? Hahaha maybe in 10 years when they finally realise that phones can have more memory lol.

Hopefully this 8 gig of ram will be put into Galaxy S8 and S8edge for VR. Since not being able to get Note 7,I have spare money for next new Galaxy with a bit of hope there maybe a SPen version or S8pro?

Sammy rocks. Innovators to the core. Sometimes things get hot and blow up but being way out front comes with risks. The S8 and the new Note Ice will be incredible machines.

People who compare ram usage on pcs running windows or macos to phones running Android/ios haven't got a clue how they actually work.. Same goes for comparing the cpu or gpu doesn't matter what octa core soc you have it eont even compete against a top spec i3m let alone desktop

                                Maybe for 4K VR gaming?

AnonD-594763, 20 Oct 2016lol 8gb of ram ? better i buy a gaming laptop i used to think that too..apparently phones utilize ram differently than pc or laptops..all those apps that we mutlitask will be in the ram, so having a lot more means less apps killed by the manager....

also fun fact samsung provides about 30percent of storage components for apple, those ridiculously fast nvme storage comes courtesy of samsung

I remember back around 1980 where we stacked four 1KB chips with the chip-select bend out, and this way got the enormous amount of 4KB RAM. This chip has TWO MILLION times more in a lesser package - not to talk speed and power consumption...

                                        ...Awesome...
