OSasmatteroffact, 21 Oct 2016So if it's AMOLED tech means they using samsung tech? Excus... moreI'm not saying it is Samsung because it is amoled. I'm saying it is Samsung because we know it is Samsung. Stop speculating and look it up. Stop trying to act like you know all the facts and everything I say that you don't know is just speculation. I will reiterate, we know it is Samsung. We also know pentile amoled (which the axon 7 uses) is Samsung's patented display. We also know Samsung makes the best mobile displays and are the largest suppliers of amoled displays.

I'm not sure why you want to even pretend they don't use Samsung seeing how good Samsung displays are. A lot of people buy Samsung solely for the quality of the display even.

Samsung also makes the most innovations in storage and ram production and have more innovations for storage in the roadmap (that everyone but Apple uses at the moment, but depending on how much ufs improves they may switch to it too). And Samsung SDI is the largest supplier of mobile batteries in the world.

These are facts. You are free to look them up, or you can continue to live in ignorance. Meanwhile everyone else already recognises how huge Samsung is and the role they play in innovating hardware.

Well who said that LG batteries are any better? They might not catch firw but new V20 battery endurance is crap!

Samsung should make sure that the problem came from defective batteries. The cause of the fires could be malfunctioning of other components and/or wrong wiring or connection of components. Has SDI not been manufacturing batteries for previous galaxy phones?

OperationBlitz , 20 Oct 2016Samsung cannot trust it's batteries because they don't know... moreNo. I have no issues with my G5 battery. I get 5 to 5.5 hours SOT on only a 2800mah battery powering a QHD screen etc etc. They are brilliant. Samsung also had terrible battery lives in their previous phones until the S7. Almost every Samsung I know has a swollen battery. No LGs I know have a swollen battery. So sorry for you, LG batteries are better.

This is exactly what I have been saying. Use LG batteries. Every Samsung in my family has one thing in common, a swollen battery. All of them; from the old D900s and an S7350 laying in the cupboards to the S2s all the way to the S6s. The LGs however have been perfect. 3 year old LG G2 still on original battery, 2 year old G3 charged wherever, whenever and with whatever charger is still on its original battery. Same for G4 and stylus etc. Good move by Samsung then it seems. Samsung batteries are terrible.

WTH they think both Samsung SDI and ATL deliberately made faulty batteries for the year's biggest ever release? They have gone nuts, battery wasnt the main problem there.
