Hi there,
our iPhone was NOT covered with anything, NOT exposed to sunshine inside the house and still caught fire while plugged in for charging. In the Apple store we were told that it was probably our fault because we had the screen replaced by a store that was not an authorized apple support shop or because the charger used might have been not the original one. Note: it is NEVER the fault of the company, it is always the user who did something wrong...... my conclusion: the first thing you can do wrong is to buy such device...

Lol, it is simple human error, I don't think it is smart to leave phone in a car on scorching day and cover smartphone with rags :)

It would be interesting to find out if Apple used different companies to supply the batteries cause we all know they have used different companies to build their cpu's last year along with their camera sensors. And they used different manufacturers to build their modems this year, it wouldn't surprise me if they have used more than one battery supplier to meet the demands for their product this year making it more likely to have a few defected units out there. Same could be said for the note 7. A dying shame...

A really 'innovation' a**le actually did even since J*bs died is actually a devious plan to overthrown rival's company using tricks, the 'innovative' ones, as they always says.

I can't even think that a**ple would be this low, because they believe their products could hold their own against An**oid. To think that they are this wary of S***ung, even go as far as sued them for patents, albeit they themselves do the same thing, even worse.

With this, no matter how cheap iBomb device sold for, I won't buy ANY of their products, not iBomb, iMad, or Madbook

This is because , people who won't buy a**le .
                        all believe.

                        1. person implanted by a****e brought out samsungs source code
                        2 .sent it to them
                        3. They bought about 20 note 7 phones
                        4. Entered the phone with the stolen source code, set ìt to permanently run all cores on full .
                        5. Turned the phones off, and distributed them to persons untreaceable to a**le.
                        6. Found the most prominent and newswothy place for a fire ,aircraft gets full coverage....
                        7. Alert pre prepared paid media stooges.
                        8. Plug in phone to charger, turn on,knowing fire will destroy evidence of phone tampering.
                        9. Sit tight to watch your only peer manufacturer and millions of innocent people suffer.

This story is an a**le paid media Pr stunt to neutralise the people who have posted, that they can see through, the lie. Not a battery problem. Not a manufacturing problem.
And..behold now..a**le must be innocent, ..look...they have had a phone set on fire, wow, couldn't be them could it, wow, not with this story, I mean look , they are suffering the same thing aren't they.No. lets see if gsma print 20 or 30 stories about this ( many before its proven, whilst the damage is being done and editorial mockery taking place in all ..only to print over in the lil blog column a belated small may not be true story.) like they did with samsung. If this is true then recalls have to be made, if its not, then why does a lil phone incident get main collumn attension...we know why don't we, complicit media.
Try posting anything while this story was on the american prime time page one, or the samsung assasination stories were having their comments, censored, but now the a**le team have left it alone because its target audience have seen it while sanitised, and you can now post.and no my address was not blocked I could post on anything not apple upholding, or samsung destroying. This is an a**le controlled Pr outlet. Nòpe, no one has lost anything, this is as true as the tailor swift lie story, a**le will come out of this the way it was arranged, with a.....wòw didn't they handle that problem proffessionaly...no...this is also a mop up as well, because the note 5 came top of last years reliability charts beating a**le to no1 on their own ground, as a second insult this story tries to turn that round...fail.

It is just common sense that the car will heat up. So if you wrap the iPhone with your pant inside the car of course it will be very hot. You don't leave your dog inside a car so does your iPhone......... Don't cry wolf....

fanboyism aside. Stop thinking about the models the batteries are in. Think just about the batteries. It could be that the factory that manufactures the batteries is producing faulty units that are then supplied to many brands. Apple does not manufacture batteries like samsung does. Could it be that the batteries used are samsung made? The batteries used on the new iphone are not something "special". Unlike the note 7 which had a battery that was too good to be true considering the dimensions of the device, the iphone 7(+) just got rid of the headphone jack to make room for the slightly higher capacity battery and the the taptic engine.
Heating the device should not be an excuse for a battery to burst into flames. I have left my iphone 5s under the sun last summer (40C) and it was so hot I could not pick it up and the phone said "Need to cool down". Put it in my bag and everything was ok.

Replying while not logged-in takes you to the login page which then redirects you to the "post your comment" page. However, at that point it did not save (preferably in a cookie) the reply state so that state could be used for attaching a reply after login redirection. How's that for my lecture?
