Chocowii, 07 Dec 2010Next year some mobile phone companies will ditch Google's A... moreThat is like speculation. What we do know is that MeeGo, WP7, and WebOS will be on the mix next year and provide customers with even more choices and it might slow down Android's growth.

I guess the X10 mini and mini pro do not have the hardware to support this update.Hopefully Sony will release a little bro for the Zeus with Gingerbread......sigh.

If SE would bring Froyo on X10, it still is a great news.
It's better late than never and might entice Android wannabe user to get the X10.

Next year some mobile phone companies will ditch Google's Android OS and revert to their own platform. It seems that these companies recieves a little support from the search engine giant's dev team. This resulted to late phone updates, buggy OS, and less multi-platform support. Rumor has it that these companies will result to develop or return to their native OSes. These companies seek optimal customer service satisfaction thru their phones but sadly Google hears them little. If this happens where would Google Android be?

100% agree!
But later better than never if you know what I mean. I'm looking forward for future handsets from SE which will be launched with Android Gingerbread, let's hope SE learn from their mistakes and bring on the old days when they were considered leaders in the mobile industry.

SE will be announcing a new phone at the end of the week (Thursday or Friday I think) with Android 2.3. This is probably why x10 isn't being rushed into new updates, so it doesn't compete with the company's new flagship (Zeus Z1). In any case SE wants to get its updates error-free unlike what happened to galaxy S when it jumped to 2.2. Even a year after its release the X10 will still be a great buy for users looking for a quality phone because the updates aren't just performance upgrades, they add new features. With their new high-end phone yet to be announced, SE will have a phone that will compete against the Nexus S and others, but it will also be attracting a new group of customers; gamers. In my opinion gaming capabilities of mobile phones will be most important selling factor for the next mobile generation and who's better placed in the industry than Sony? 2011 will be one of SE's strongest years and a great opportunity for them to return to the top end of the market. I'm not a bias fan of SE but after so much pessimism this year it feels good being optimistic again.

I also agree that eventhough it has been a year since I first saw the hardware, it still looks good compred to what the competition have. I just wish that SE speeds up their updates as they seem to move like molasses compared to HTC. I still believe that multitouch, 16 M colors, and Eclair should have come at launch though.

Ok you have a point and I must agree on this one. However... moreit is richer but there is a price
the hardware
now it's struggling to keep up with itself
the update for symbian will fix that
they are adding more frames to the animation
and improving everything that needs too

fact is fact, 07 Dec 2010 Dude let's keep it cool, trust me it's not worth offendin... moreI'm not even talking about the phone he uses cause that is of no interest to me...& I use the Xperia X10 myself so I know it's pros & cons...I don't need an internet troll to tell me what android is capable of & what it's not...& no, I'm not getting offended or angry by his notations on android (cause we all know which OS is superior) but I neither deal with trolls like you're doing & nor do I pay attention & try to talk them out...cause if they had sense to understand what you're saying then they wouldn't come here to flap their mouth like a douche in the 1st place...

Dude let's keep it cool, trust me it's not worth offending each other over phones. I know this guy he used to be a good one, but recently I don't know what's going on with him. I totally understand that his attitude makes a lot of people nervous and angry, because coming in every forum regarding android just to bash the os is a bad move.
I just hope he realize this mistake, and go back the way he used to be. I'm sure he would also feel bad if iphone users kept trolling n8 forum just to keep saying negative things about Nokia. We need to learn how to accept others taste even if we disagree with them.
I personally believe that the X10 is the best looking device in the market today, and even if se is a little late with the upgrade, still releasing updates for their flagship just proves that they still care. At least their not releasing flaw upgrades with ton of problems, like what happened to samsung and Motorola earlier.
