sad...that innovation fail against the marketing .. i own lg g5 and the concept is innovative ..g5 excels in camera, sound and screen but it is being critized for being innovative that harsh ..and there is another firm named after an bitten fruit dosnt bring anything new to table neither it excel in anything has millions of taker ..this is the reason firm doesnt want to risk and bring something new and continue with conventional path..hope lg g6 comes with some unique modularity..but for g5 was the most underrated smartphone of 2016

Then what was the point of making them at all?
You knew it wad going to be hard and they probably were not going to take off right away. Especially with most of them hardly adding much.
So if you were only going to half arse it then give up what was the point?

The idea is there and is a plus for consumers but the mechanism of the modular design is abit flimsy and not durable imo.

I love 1st LG G2 design & then Google Nexus 5. After that I don't like any of the LG G series design.

Modularity isn't much of an issue, just make the best phone conceivable.

I considered G5 before going to 6s plus. But after going to their kiosk to check G5, The display unit already have a loose battery lock... not at all snappy
