I'm not too sure MS will stay in game in spite of the market loss. I'm considering the purchase over an iPhone due to the larger battery, OTG and headphone jack. Specs are pretty great, as Windows is nowhere as demanding as Android. I just feel like the rear camera is sub par.

Yeah...good luck with that HP. Should have go for Android, maybe then we would see some sales, because the device is a decent one, just crippled by WP.

Anonymous, 21 Oct 20166.99 or 699?ohh man , your comment MADE MY DAY! yeah i guess they mistaken the price so it's $6.99

who cares about HP and WP.. what a cheap price!

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2016HP elite X3 6 inch 2k screen. $699 iPhone 7 plus 5.5 in... moreMost of the good apps in WP almost never get updated and are worse than their counterparts from android and iOS. And your beloved WP will now get discontinued by the end of this year, which MS themselves have confirmed.

AnonD-2626, 22 Oct 2016It's amazing how extremely struggling Windows OS slapped on... moreNot really because MS is going for the hybrid market share. That is devices with multiple uses like the 2-in-1 convertible tablets. These OEMs do PC/hybrids and all that already. The only different is the cpu they work with and contacts in the cellular industry. In the end the hardware will cost more because less demand = higher price to manufacture. Honestly windows 10 mobile is not finished either. Continuum will be just like desktop come Redstone 2. Right now it's pretty much just potential. 1 full screen window, a UI that doesn't match a desktop experience. These manufacturers are getting in early. HP is actually one of the best sellers in the 2-in-1 laptop/tablet hybrids. This will help them gain experience and they are really catering to their business partnerships that will be helping them test the hardware and use it on a subset of people. MS had to pause mobile to focus on other stuff but now they will start working on it for a new launch in 2017.

MS has always lead the way with tech if you believe it or not. The problem is that they couldn't sell it. Others packaged it better and sold it to the mass. But since Satya they seem to be getting better as a company and brand recognition.

I'm not saying they will take the market but I think with the way they are going about things they may actually have a chance to grow their ecosystem and market share more so than they have in the past. Enough to be recognized as a viable app platform. They will never surpass google/apple in phones but they may in a new category like they are doing with hybrids.

$700 for a windows phone is asking wayyyy to much. Only way windows Phone will gain traction is if they go the One Plus 3 route and start selling flagship level devices at a budget cost.
