Pokemon Go hits $600 million revenue mark in record time

While it's growth may be slowing, Pokemon Go is continuing setting new records. Case in point, a new report from market research firm App Annie, which says that Pokemon Go has now become the fastest game to hit $600 in revenues.

    Some people walk to go to work you know. Say 2km to and 2km from. That's 4km a day. You walk, listening to music and having pokemon go running cause there's nothing better to do. You then realise that you need to catch one more vulpix to evolve it and then you might walk a bit on your weekend while going to buy some milk. Stop being this kind of person. World is full of negative people like you, unfortunately.

        Whether we like it or not, we need the speed restriction. It will inevitably save innocent lives and might even convince some countries it is safe to allow Pokemon GO. It may also increase server stability by preventing programs like FastPokeFind from working. Nicely asking players in the Terms of Service to follow the rules has proven to be not good enough, so this is the only way.

          Was curious, tried it, 2 sessions and I was out. Never came back. It's just not my thing.

            Control myself spending money on it, later uninstalled it :P

                      Actually I am still playing it and quite like it. I also walked hundreds of kilometers and got healthier. And I have not spent a penny on in game goods and have not cheated by rooting or GPS teleporting. You see if you play it honestly and by the rules, this game can be quite enjoyable. Hares vs turtles.

                        Hype is gone, but I wasn't a tool that got it due to hype, I got it for what it was and like it very much. Sad for people with jailbroken devices, but most Android devices can handle to use root which you can turn on/off, if you don't know how to achieve this you shouldn't be using root in the first place.

                              I guess the majority of this amount will go to only a few people in this company and the rest will go to the underpaid developers who actually made the game.
