So HTC is the lucky one who would be clear the stock of Qualcomm last year (very crapy) Crapdragon 810.I would imagine high price is standard "equipment" besides regular overheating and throtling.

HTC is the company who invented any thing in this new smartphone era
#first to implement the metal unit body with antenna lines
                    #first to implement dual camera
#first to implement the fingerprint sensor on the back
                    #first to post USB-C 3.1 ON A smartphone
#first to make black metal color
#first non-nexus to remove the bloat and a US as smooth as pixel.
                    #first front camera OIS
#first double tap to on/off the screen.
                    And above all
                    #first android

Without it, the smartphone devs would be 5 years delayed.

What segment is this phone for? I can only compare it with one plus X which uses the previous year flagship chipset? OPX sells for $300, then this would sell for $500.... Still cheaper than Samsung A8...???

Why would you need to buy a flagship for such a simple "feature"? Not to mention non-removable batteries make flagships a bad idea as a whole. Too expensive for a phone with such limited lifespan.
