Guess what for the first time I see an amazing vibration in a smart phone. My Sami S7 does great job. The ones I had before had very bad ones. I don't know about those new techs

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2016even they have jack... i dont think u will buy it .... ther... morethat may be true...come to think of it, phones like sony or asus have capacitive touch buttons, and they didnt get rid of the jack..sony had awesome waterproofing before stupid users started abusing it for diving...even samsung has 2 of 3 buttons as capcitive..the taptic engine is just a gimmick...it give the feel of a regular button..nice..why apple ran out of regulay buttons?? a elaborate ruse to make us buy bt headsets...i have two 3rd party ones btw...and they are gathering dust in the bottom of my shelf...one is a nokia, i can basically plug in any headphone i want into it(bh 214 i think) and a philips tapster, a 5 year old model, with touch controls...now that was innovation

Outclased.....how many features that android had in 2010 did come on ios only in....2014 or even later. Maybe it is better but a user won't feel the difference....just a gimmick

Love the new home button. It feel like a real click and I don't have to worry about wearing out the mechanical bits.

As much as I dislike iPhones, the vibration motor is seriously great on the 7s. This is probably the one area where Android (incl pixel) is simply outclassed in every way shape and form.

Most people seem to like it, although some hate it, but regardless I don't think it is something special enough to have such a huge taptic engine.

I don't see why other's don't do the same, this is amazing, one of the features I trully love in apple products!

oh and fun fact, I don't know much but I remember the old samsung phone with a cube for home button (forgot it's name) had a similiar feature a really long time ago, I don't know why they never mentioned it or anything.
when you hit the bottom on any app it would make you feel like something is tapping bottom of the phone, same for the other stuff.

The new home button feels like a real button thanks to the engine, and it actually works and feels a lot better than the previous actual buttons. It's a pretty seamless experience.

they should use the same technology that is used in the Magic Wand. It will then fly off the shelves

[deleted post]Given the fact that apple only releases new iphones every september. How would you say that they've copied the taptic engine from pixel phone if they've already released the first phone to have a taptic engine which is the 6s and 6s plus? When did google released their first taptic engine built phone?
