Wow! what a price! it seems those first hand information we had was wrong at all. The price tag the leaks stated was up to 750 dollars. how come this is now so high. don't destroy our expectations. The lower variants let the price be normal. We still wait for the phone. 4x optical zoom is a great implementation that I have being hoping for for some time now. GREAT STAFF THERE.

Better I will just buy a samsung galaxy s7 and one dslr camera. Sounds better than having a a phone that offers 4x optical zoom for 1300$. That's crazy

Don't bite more then you can chew, there's still quality control issues with huawei phones and devices, they aren't exploding but as someone who sell them, their failing rates are alarmingly high, with this kinda of quality and want a $1300?

A phone with two hundred optical zoom which helps you with your cooking even washing and all the chores itself and it costs two million dollars then who will buy that?

Definitely doing 'zoom' in a Nokia fashion. I first was skeptical about the 20mp+12mp rumor but now this makes sense and sounds actually very promising... The 20mp image has enough pixels to crop a 12mp picture and provide at least 2-3x zoom. 4x sounds too much for me. In general phones this should always mean "smaller pixels" more noise, less quality. Because at the end is still a CROP. But in this, huawai has a separate 12mp pixel to fix all those imperfection, provide all the sharpness, shadow and light data while de 'cropped 12mp' image provides color information. All this is speculation of course, but given all the renders leaks, I don't think we will see a 'true' optical zoom here.

1300$?!!???!?!?!? Whaaaat? Ok this is not a real rumor. Huawei's phones (like most Chinese brands) are cheap. That's what makes them popular. Now If you need a camera, I'll suggest you a 500$ camera that will take amazing pictures, many times better than this phone will. Now, 500 bucks camera + 500 bucks Huawei phone = 300$ savings.
