7 December, 2010
The test WP7-driven Samsung Taylor has just made it to the headlines once again. And this time, while posing for the camera, it demonstrates the upcoming copy-and-paste functionality, which is supposed...

I'll spend my money on that "crap" as you said!
Watch this "crap" take over the others slowly. The iPhone 1st version wasn't that great too. But Ms has got a dedicated team which will listen to users unlike other companies. I work for a Telco and we've had some weird stuffs happening with Android. I do like Samsung Galaxy S, but for some reasons it was sending SMS on its own to random persons.
May be a virus! But for sure I am going for WP7. As for multi-tasking its not that important for me. I can without it at the moment. The problem with it is it kills your battery. Also I think Ms is trying to be on safe side. Be aware that the OS has multi-tasking capabilities but kind of disabled for 3rd party apps. I have some inside info that this might be freed sometime next year. So keep an eye on it :)

                  Very Interesting Incident: read below
Apple should make me a statue because i bought their entire series of products multiple time. there is nothing Apple released that i didn't buy.
i was unlucky with 2 laptops i bought this year so i got the new Macbook Air.
when i tried to sync my iPhone, it denied authorizing my computer with itunes because i already authorized 5 PCs, fine, i wanted to de-authorize the faulty ones, it told me: you can only de-authorize once per year, you have to wait until February 2011 to de-authorize.
So, i'll have to wait until Feb 2011 to sync my phone because there is no other way to import/export data from it except itunes.
                  Shame on such stupid policy.
                  Go Microsoft Go.

Granted, it's not a function I use often. But for those times when I'm writing a really long Note or ActiveNote, it comes in handy not to have to retype a whole section of text. Having said that, I'm sure others would want to use their phones for text-editing more heavily than I would.

For my part, I use the image-editing functions of my phone (N97 mini) quite often - whether it's sending an MMS, creating a contact picture or posting on Facebook. It makes a huge difference that I can crop, resize and add effects to the pictures I share and use - and it came as a big disappointment that my sister's new Galaxy S was unable to perform these tasks which I had taken for granted.

I guess my point is that all features have their place and their use - some often, others less frequently. Copy-paste is one of those things that I would expect to see in a modern smartphone, and it's good to see WP7 getting up to speed with this. It's especially useful when using the phone for proper typing (such as with a BT keyboard - I speak from experience!) but, like my image-editing needs it's not something that will make everyone jump for joy.

Its sad to see features like copy and paste been advertised as part of a major update of a device for the year 2011

With this kind of fast paced development a future upgrade might allow phone calls to be made.

Great news.. By time, I believe that WP7 limitations will be removed one-by-one, and finally it will fully functional like WM6.5, but of course with a gorgeous UI.. Please add the multitasking capability, Microsoft :)

iPhone release - June 2007 (lacking many key fetaures we take for granted today... including cut & paste)

iPhone iOS v3.0 release - June 2009 (2 years later!!!) finally Apple comes up with how to do cut & paste

                                      WP7 release - Oct 2010

WP7 update release (TBA, but remoured to be Jan 2010) only 3 months later and microsoft releases OS updates to correct some initial miss givings in the otherwise great phone... including cut & paste

Try and take of those blind folds and look at the different progress rates... MS appears to be on a much more aggresive growth rate, and given its got a similar approach to Apple in that they had standardised the device specs, one could almost predict that they should come up to par and eventually bypass iphone a lot sooner than Andriod.

And I do not have either iPhone, Andriod or WP7!!
