what's the point of informing the world when mi note 2 and mi mix are only launched in China and meant for China market?

If you want to tap them, you will have to swipe/tap the screen first, then tap the button.
That's one action too much for my taste. With hardware buttons you don't waste screen space and can access them directly. Also, some phones manage to put the relatively big chins to a use this way.
The Mix has a ratio of 17:9 though, so even with them visible all the time you get your 16:9 screen space - nothing is wasted. Going that route is something I could live with as well.

S7 edge - healthy alternative in terms of price.. around the same even cheaper compared to the global version of mi note 2 (lte b20)

I am not sure why off screen button still exist, it's a useless part of the front part of the screen. Xiaomi took that part and turned it part of the screen. It's not a hard concept to understand, off screen buttons are so 2010... even apple is looking for ways to take hem (it) away...

The Mi Note 2 has the superior camera. For your money you get what seems to be a very capable concept phone minus the flagship camera and OLED display but with 256GB storage.

In the review part of MI MiX he shared the person next to me can hear the audio voice of my call due to the new technology sounds flow through full ceramic what it means pls. ? No privacy ? Without a loud speaker on, if I am talking to someone will everyone listen arround ? Again I think Mi Note 2 has better built and camera over MI MiX despite of the new design and innovations

Looks like Xiaomi has the balls to try out new things now. Not bad. Not my type of the phone (the Mi Mix), but the technological advances could prove useful. And it's definitely not the "same old, same old" stuff most other companies pump out nowadays.
I'm not sure why people are asking for on-screen buttons, I prefer them to be off screen actually. Though I guess with the display being 17:9, they can be left displayed all the time without taking away place, which would be fine in my book.
