Regarding Optical zoom phones.
Yes, many others already had their zoom phones out few years ago, the problem is they all have these two issues:
1. picture quality is bad.
2. the phone is too huge, it's already a camera size.

Most expensive one will go for $1200 LOL. Xiaomi does that for half of the price with the MIX and destroys it design wise. Bye Huawei!

DantE O2, 26 Oct 2016is that your speculation or you're talking about a benchmark?Both. Benchmarks show it has a slightly better single core cpu and gpu than the sd821. But in reality Huawei tends to do better than benchmarks suggest (maybe because the multicore cpu is well ahead of the competition), plus the lower resolution would help further. So next year the s8 and friends would blow it out the water in benchmarks, but in reality not by much.

Gonna be too expensive (for my taste) when released, but, the Mate8 was too expensive, which is why I bought one about a month ago, because with the 9 coming, they are dumping the 8 to cut inventory. Same might happen NEXT year when the 10 or whatever they call it, is announced. I prefer to buy the end of this years model, than the early this years model simply because it's too expensive, too new, might have bugs. Buy the time the production run is winding down, it's usually been upgraded and any bugs have been eliminated.

UFS 2.0 does 2.9Gbits/s transfer rate as a best case scenario, which is roughly 360MBps
Sandisk extreme does 95MBps, and Samsung's one does 90MBps.
Those speeds are way more than sufficient for photo and video and is good enough to offload rarely used apps.
At a price of $45 for 32GB, you can't beat it. UFS 2.0 would cost you at least $100 per every tier of smartphone storage.

If you really care abou... morethe Kzoom is Shitslow compared to the mate series for value for money its truely best value i currently own a p9 love the phone to bits i had a samsung before and no way hell no to much problems sent it in twice for firmware reloads and the cam gave in now with my p9 its been 2 months not a days problem with the samsung i had problems on my first day and for months on end then i switched to huawei and never want to go back to crapsung

My Samsung Galaxy S5 has 4X Zoom, which is great. But I go agree, the Mate 9 does look like a monster of a phone! If it is released in the UK, I am seriously considering this for my next handset.
