its possible, that since its the first gingerbread phone, the video recording resolution is low, they might update it to hd, in the future through a software update , just like they did in the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10....who knows..........

Fail iPhone 3Gs copy in design. Also, Android is a crap, they only release new versions each monts that only increase numbers and are the same shit, just to make you think that your device is outdated.

Seems the Google S is going to be a disapointment indeed.
Stated specs are not to bad but HD recording would be nice and the fact that there is no Super AMOLED for the EMEA region... Silly to say the least and Gingerbread is not going to make the big difference since it will be mainstream any time soon.
1 big plus over the Galaxy S, and the reason I did not choose it, is that it has LED flash. Now I'am using a Desire HD and to be honest I'am more then happy with this phone comming from a Samsung Omnia2.

Samsung make great software and data hardware for phones, but the only thing that keeps from buying Samsung phones is a they like damn cheap looking 50 dollar plastic china phones. Samsung, please get new designers. A company like Samsung deserves to have their more expensive lines looking more exclusive, not like something got of the street in Hong Kong.

Would nexus S not being able to record in HD affect 2.3 or any further ports to galaxy S? Would sgs still be able to record in HD as it does right now with eclair/froyo ?

Very disappointed with this indeed. Video recording is still what Nokia done in 2005 or smthg. Plus no FM radio.
I'm waiting for an android 3.0 dressed HTC with 1.2 dual core.

Rip, 08 Dec 2010So basically this is another Galaxy phone with a newer OS, ... moreThe lack of flash on the original galaxy s was the only thing stopping me getting it, such a dumb omission!.. some advice for anyone thinking of getting this phone, wait till feb and get the i9100 instead!! Specs are just incredible, albeit unconfirmed...

It looks nice but apart from the AMOLED screen being better, i'm happy with my Desire HD, which in theory can have a larger memory capacity than this handset. Hopefully it will not be too long before 2.3 is rolled out to other Android Handsets

This is a pointless phone indeed! personally I'm waiting for the i9100 galaxy s 2. I don't get why google would bring out a phone that would have been top of the range 6 months ago but is just middle of the road now... odd....

yes it is optional, 08 Dec 2010Google s is gonna be the phone to beat in 2011, see ya late... more"Google s is gonna be the phone to beat in 2011, see ya later iphone 4"
What?! Pretty much every manufacturers top device is going to beat the Nexus s by quite some way. I would even say that the HTC Desire HD and Z are currently better that the nexus s will be, let alone HTCs upcoming phones.

Anonymous, 08 Dec 2010Nexus S is a big disappointment.Totally agree HTC or motorola should have made this phone, but I bet they had to go with samsung because they would not release any more Super Amoled screens to anyone else.

Must be reviewed by gsmarena first. You can't compare results by different reviewers. It's unreliable. Looks good although a bit expensive. Plus the fact that Adroid 2.3 will eventually become lot more affordable in the near (few months) future.
