-PIXEL 5'' AMOLED 1080p , 2770 mAh + SD821(but it has same clock as SD820 so it should be more power efficient)
-Xperia X 5'' LCD 1080p , 2620 mAh + SD650 ( quite power efficient despite it's 28nm )
-Xperia X Performance 5'' LCD 1080p , 2700 mAh + SD820 ( same clock speed as SD821 in Pixel but it doesn't have it's power saving features)

Endurance ratings :

PIXEL : 64h average
3G talk time - 20:43
Web browsing - 7:40
Video playback - 11:27

XPERIA X : 67h average
3G talk time - 19:05
Web browsing - 9:34
Video playback - 9:56

XPERIA X Performance : 61h average
3G talk time - 20:56
Web browsing - 7:23
Video playback - 8:18

although NOT THAT important I would like to add that concept beta users reported better battery life on Nougat for Xperia X and X Performance . also I can confirm that battery life really sucks on marshmallow more than on lollipop on some of Xperia devices( I'm using Z5 and battery life got a lot worse since update to MM which also gsma test confirmed)

and finally yes I agree that AMOLED could be better for battery life but it depends what you are displaying on your phone , for example watch a video where it will be a lot of dark scenes and AMOLED will drain definitely less battery than LCD but do a lot of web browsing where is a lot of white background and LCD will excel . use maximum brightness a lot and LCD will excel again over AMOLED . Overall in real life AMOLED usually has slightly better battery life for most users , but difference is too insignificant .

and again sorry for this late response , it wasn't my intention , I was expecting that gsma would do review of regular pixel immediately after Pixel XL ...

Everything is done on such tight tolerances with unavoidable variation that almost any item from flash to CPUs to screens are graded according to actual performance. Although a product would seem to be discrete in the real world everything has at least minor variations.

It has a high defect rate in the manufacturing process which creates different levels of quality called BINS. The top bins are used in Samsung's top line phones with the ones with minor defects being sold to third parties. Third parties also buy surplus displays from previous generations. The high defect rate in manufacturing will always make top AMOLED more expensive than top IPS until those rates are equal.

AnonD-248589, 28 Oct 2016No it isn't. Just because the cheapest AMOLED costs less th... moreWho teach you there is cheap amoled and expensive amoled or cheap ips and expensive ips? All amoled is the same. The main producer of amoled are no other than Samsung and LG. As for IPS im not sure of it but its definitely mostly the same. The only thing that affect the price greatly is the resolution, not the display technology itself. If you say 540p amoled is cheaper than 1080p ips then I would agree. But the thing is amoled generally cheaper to produce than LCD now regardless who make them.

Then I guess we agree on that AMOLED is better for batteries and LCD for performance/VR. But it also depends. You see, I have a Galaxy SIII and a Galaxy A5, both sAMOLED and 720p. The A5's display is very horrible, I agree, because of the matrix. But the Galaxy SIII is awesome despite the PenTile matrix. I do not know which AMOLED device you tried (maybe many) but some have very sharp displays while not relying on higher PPI

                    -LCD 1 out of 1000
                    -AMOLED 1 out of 10

also burn in on AMOLED is permanent , on LCD is not .

I can't turn my screen of even for 1 second of my life , because I simply don't want .

Burn in is not an issues for me(I just disagree with you on that topic) because I change my phones frequently , at least twice a year or every six months ... the reason why I don't like AMOLEDs is that majority are PenTile and are lacking in sharpness a lot, for example sharpness that LCD FHD achieves , AMOLED needs to be QHD to match LCD , and there you have a performance slowdown because of the bigger resolution . that's a big issue for me .

I think you can spare five seconds to enjoy an infinite contrast ratio and improved battery life without screen burn. If you can't, that means your phone is a problem.
