improved, improved but still removing features, the last smartphone was Samsung S5 with ALL the features (except FM radio), next Samsung phones are just dumb phones giving nothing

And the apple soc is only this much better for the first time.
Between the actual r n d and actually for more newer and more advanced parts samsung uses its more worth a the price tag....
So what.....one year apple has a super soc..... Samsungs is still huge and there is way more than just that in the phone..... and they are ahead in almost every other part.
And iPhone had no exploding cases????? Lol you don't actually keep up with much do you?

gam30, 28 Oct 2016this is s8. not a note. A note is exactly that these days though. An S phone with a pen. So instead of having a notE, just add pen capability to S series (optional accessory) and call it a day.
The point of a Note series was to also improve on other aspects as well. Since they don't anymore, they don't need that series. Just have one flagship series. Keep it simple...

There are so many complaining of Apple releasing the same phones. What about Samsung , this will be the third S series with only minor differences, they are equally expensive, their SoC is actually worse ... I mean what the hell. At least Apple have quality control (no explosing batteries). Give me one good reason of (why) Samsung being interesting these days. They are equally as boring as Apple.
Xiaomi tries new things (mimix), OnePlus is supremedy cheap, LG tries trully new designs (despite looking bad), but those two are the most boring m*thef#@/ers in the whole industry despite being the most expensive. The one interesting line Samsung had (Note line) they managed to mess up as well..
