Anyway we all know Huawei suck with GPUs and software updates plus their phones use non qHD screens and still can't pull off the battery results of the others.

Please stop praising something with several quality issues. Had it not been for the note7 fiasco they would still be ripping people of their money. And no im not interested un any device hitting this list.

what an arrogant list all those who participated in even voting is a joke so we can name the best phone of the year and the year isnt even done yet? the huawei mate 9 isnt out yet, we dont even know the camera capabilities of the imx398 on the oppo r9s what makes it worse is people were having best phones of 2016 all the way up in april -_-

As far as I'm ... moreyeah..the edge requires some modification in our holding methods..especially if they are like how my dad uses his note..he gets accidental touches even with its normal edges..on the other hand once you get past that curve, and hide all that gorgeous design in a case(btw go for supcase, you'll have a fake s7 edge active look ..hehe, or you could try gadgetshieldz 360) the handling is very good...the edge really does help, in the odd cases when the phone is silent and kept facing down(which strangely happens more than you would expect it to) the edge lighting up to show a call is very good, that being the best implementation of the edge display...
i think oneplus has good potential and it might have come third mainly because of its relatively obscure nature of the company and lack of waterproofing(which may or may not be necessary, but its nice to feel safe, near that tall glass of water at the dinner table)

If such issues were presents in the S7 series, the chances are that it would have come to light by now don't you think?
As they stand, the S7 series are great devices and worthy of such recognition.
Perhaps you are venting because your particular device/brand of choice did not get the nod???

Yes I have S7 edge exynos 5 days ago. So far So good, no lag, super fast and long battery life.

Fair play to Xiamoi for what they have done, But what are you going to say next year? Anyone with less than a 10inch screen is not a Phablet?
I like my phone to fit in my pocket not in a rucksack! I understand people want more but honestly I don't want a humongous phone again...5.5 to 6inch is doable but above that forget it! The only way to get away with larger screens after that would be some type of clamshell design or folding phone.
