As in the video, people bash cz they like it, especially if they have low self-esteem.
Anyway, i don't agree with your opinion on the design of android(i like Material Design) but you can also get an S4 and enjoy the design.
There is also Sailfish OS wich is a continuation of Meego OS( The OS on the Nokia N9) , root is also an option.
I am just suggesting alternatives , but of course the Iphone is always better, and the Iphone 7 is really improving on both hardware and software compared to previos Iphone( water resistance, STEREO SPEAKERS!!!!!!!....), but keep in mind the lack of headphone jack, and the new home button(wich you will get used to fast) doesn't work with gloves.
Anyway, wish you the best with your choice.
PS: Microsoft have NOT turned their back on Windows phone, wich is still receiving updates, but they are planning to return strongly to the mobile space in 2017.

Just to note - I don't mean users on this site. Over here people are pretty much relaxed for the most part. But in all the other tech news sites I visit it's all the same negative comments bashing one OS or another. Especially on the Android forums and sites, they always bash iPhone and even insult its users. Why would someone care so much for bashing others because they use something different is beyond me. Those people do a big disservice and are detrimental to the Android community. So in a way I want nothing to do with those vicious people with a high school mean girl mentality. As much as I like some Android devices I cannot shake the thought of those negative comments. I've been using Android since about 2011, and the community was never as negative as it is right now. It's like a bunch of unhappy basement dwellers make Android look bad.

It is good, I like the general feel of the UI, works fast (despite being a low-cost and "slow" spec processor). However, I find most apps do not work the same as on Android and iOS (WhatsApp for example), and the Windows Store lacks some much needed apps. I guess WP is bleeding developers or something. Also, it seems as though Microsoft have turned their back to their mobile phone business. The two things that make me want to turn my back to Android are: 1) I don't like the way their UI looks in the last few years. For example I think TouchWiz looked better in the Galaxy S4 era. I know I can use themes, but I didn't like any of the ones provided. 2) The Android culture - Ive noticed that on internet websites Android fans always bash other platforms in the most vicious way and they're generally a negative bunch. It was not like that before. They spend more time bashing iPhone or WP and their users than talking about Android.

Nougat roms are also available for Xiaomi phones like rn3, redmi 3s etc

BB 10 is also a choice.

I know they are good and cheap, but the sof... moreYe miui got so bad ... lack of bugfixes, there shift towards everything cloud based ( which is in china and slow as hell in Europe at least) I used to like Xiaomi now its just meh. There cheap devices are worth it, but they still can't compete with flagships. It is always lacking somewhere...

On my country some are selling on buy and sell but nobody is interested on this xiaomi and meizu brand. I dont know why cause i never seen o test this brand. Selling brand new is online only and i dont like to deal on that way. May be if they have a physical store on my country ill try it.

All the Best Xiaomi with your devices, especially Mi MIX and Note 2, both have brilliant design. The only problem with you, keep seeing in user opinions, being UI, customers support and upgrades. Am not sure if even Mi MIX and Note 2 will get Nougat. All in All, best Lucky.

Just look at xiaomi mi5s+ speed test against phones like OP3, Google pixel. It wins speed test, and it is even faster than iphone, except in games loading. Though, MIUI is ugly for me.

So much Xiaomi. I know they are good and cheap, but the software looks bad IMO. If it was more pure android I would maybe buy one.

After several Android phones (Galaxy S, Galaxy Young, Sony Xperia M, Galaxy J5), I am fed up with the ecosystem. It has TOO much customization, too much choice and I find I have to tinker with the device to make it work like I like. I want something that looks good and just works, with no Google account if possible (I dislike Google). I am going to buy a used iPhone 4S or 5 for the same money as a new low-cost Android. I like the way iOS 6 looks compared to Android of late and iOS 7-10 are not bad looking either.
