Both companies are loosing revenue year by year now. Why? Because your top dogs are overpriced for what they offer. Apple living in their own little bubble, everything that came after Steve Jobs passed away was a disappointment (they had almost 35% of mobile market share, what is it now? 12%). Samsung...quality. It may be a cheap shot, but remember Note 7? Enough said. They don't offer anything, that competition doesn't have. By the way, manufacturing...Axon 7 was made in US, while your worshipped brands are being made in China. I used to own flagships, but I grew up, got to the conclusion, that I don't play games, I don't do VR on the phone, so why paying for things I don't need? I just got Moto Z Play. Yeah...in the eyes of people it's a mid-ranger, but you know what? I clock 3-4 days on one battery charge, unlike your S7, which struggles one day life on medium use. I'll take battery life any day over a bit faster phone. You're forgetting one thing...the price of Apple or Samsung. For that price, reasonable people expect all the bells and whistles, but those are just decent devices, like many of them on the market these days. By the way... OnePlus 3 was rated the best phone deal of 2016. Take that for what you want.

Chinese ... morechinese oems still make crap. op3 is crap. axon 7 is crap. mate 9 is crap. honor 8 is crap. if chinese oems have made decent devices, why wouldnt even tech youtubers who have lots of devices use chinese craps as their daily drivers? if they ever did, they only use it for the sake of reviews. you, on the other hand, doesnt even have a top dog's flagship which means that you cant even see how far the difference of quality chinese oems have vs top dogs. i own a huawei p9, dont judge me yet, my uncle gave it to me as a present but honestly, its still millions of miles away even from an iphone 6 and billions of miles away from an s7 which i both had but gave it both to my sister and brother for an xperia which, in my opinion, is way better than those. these differences are still so clear from how i could see the mate 9, another spec-beast but still, an example of how desperate chinese oems are of cheap peoples' attention, just like yours

You wanna crawl out of the sewer pipe and look around a bit. More and more Chinese companies are starting to match the quality of top dogs, offering decent devices, that are doing exactly the same things, but at lower price point (and on top of that they are actually trying to do new things, unlike others). They're not leading the industry...yet, but they are showing how much overpriced most of the phones are, and they will push big brands to make some changes (if not for lowering those ridiculously high prices, then making the device stand out, to justify its price). If you are a consumer, I don't understand why you don't see this as a good thing, rather than spit the hate venom left and right.

Not much innovation in the designs. At least Chinese companies are trying different things, Mate series with ridiculously thin bezels, P9 with its Laica camera, and now Xiaomi with Mi Mix. Chinese are pushing out of the box right now, which hopefully force everyone else to stop being so lazy.

No thanks, but, the gold color is perfect...since you'll be paying a HIGH PRICE for this phone, gold is the obvious choice.
Do like I did. I liked the Mate8 when it came out about a year ago, but the price was WAY higher than I wanted to pay. Here it is 10 months later, and I picked it up for half of what it was 10 months ago. And, the phone/hardware bugs/software bugs (if any) were worked out and it is as stable and rock solid, and my now retired Mate2.
I prefer to wait til almost the end of the product cycle. You usually get a more stable device, and a HUGE discount in price, since they want to clear the inventory of "last years" model.

I said there was black bars AKA black borders around the damn screen. I even linked a picture. I know what screen to body ratio is, but those black bars still takes up SCREEN SPACE and they are ugly af. Is it to much for you to comprehend that there are black borders?? im just asking since you are so INSANELY defensive about it. I was just pointing it out. Samsung doesn't have a hard time removing them so why should huawei?. Think about the screen to body ratio without them.

I have MATE 8 and I am happy with all its features except the camera ,which is below the expectation . Let's hope mate 9 will have a better camera than iPhone 7plus . What do you think?

Definitely fake. The Mate9 will come with the Leica branding, and the UI looks awful and out-dated on the picture.
