Unlike the Note7, LG's implementation will use the same camera for selfies and iris recognition.

I'm really afraid of that LG will not use removable batteries anymore in their phones. LG will misunderstand the failure of G5 (the same way as Samsung misunderstood the low sales of S5). They will think that the reason of the hate towards G5 is that it has removable battery, so they will change the design to a unibody phone, so the primitive, brain dead consumers will feel it as "premium" design (the same way as Samsung changed the design with S6 to a much worse).
But in fact, it's nothing to do with that the battery is removable. The reason why G5 is a big fail is that LG changed the design of their flagship phones to much worse. G5 has ugly back, non-removable back, fragile camera glass (same as V20, LG used a big single piece of glass instead of individual small glass pieces for each camera, that's why it's fragile), useless modules, they removed many features (app drawer, multi-window/splitscreen view, qslide, manual video controls ...) etc.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think LG V20 is the world's last phone forever that has removable battery. Damn, people are too brain dead to consider the removable battery as an important thing, so the manufacturers don't care.

Please LG, use removable battery in G6!

Anonymous, 31 Oct 2016I would love to see this but in reality here is my predicti... moreI don't think the battery will not be removable, cz it is one of lg's prime selling point and there is no waterproofing. And you can also replace the battery with a thirdy-party one wich is bigger.

AnonD-510098, 31 Oct 2016No! Removable Battery > Water Resistance Preferably both of course and yes it can be done. Look at the HP Elite X3 for proof of that. It comes with a 4150mAH battery for a 5.96 inch screen that is user replaceable and the phone is water resistant too.

[deleted post]I would love to see this but in reality here is my prediction of what we will actually get.

                        5.4 inch IPS display.
                        Qualcomm 830 processor.
                        4GB RAM
32 GB internal storage, at a push 64 GB.
                        SD card slot.
                        No Water resistance.
3000 mAH battery that is not user replaceable.

The battery, as always with LG, will not be beefy enough to permit good endurance despite the phone being the same size as other phones with batteries that are at least 10 to 20 % larger. I really want o be wrong about the battery but I very much doubt it based on the V20.

okay...they better throw everything sans the kitchen sink in there..with all the space they saved

It looked better than most of today's flagships.....

                              Lg G6 wish list:
                              1. 5.5 display
                              2. Minimum bezels, possibly bezelless but with NO compromise on strong body (G3 was so weak and creaking)
                              3. 4000+ battery (essential these days)
                              4. True coloured display with excellent sun visibility
                              5. 6gb of RAM
                              6. Stereo speakers
                              7. At least flash proof
                              8. Two friends: E-ink case ( E-ink front) with ability to read and do basing things. And a innovatively mini Pico projector.
                              Cheers
