Anonymous, 03 Nov 2016Expandable storage, but only for single sim users = bad. An... moreAt least you have the option to use dual-sim or a sd-card. Some flagships don't even have both.
But I really wonder is about the screen size. Big screen is fine, but is it necessary to do it that big?

I was looking forward to this device, misled by the rumours.
So no 1440 x 2560 pixels
No 256 GB internal storage or even 128
No 6 GB RAM
The false rumours were like the Note 7
I wouldn't shed any tears if this thingy started exploding too

S7 Edge has f 1.7 for over a year from my experience, the f is very important in low light photos, maybe they have some tricks in processing, but I will wait and see how the camera will be

BT, 03 Nov 2016Jebus!!! The Porsche Design is the most expensive device I'... moreIn that case, you are not following mobile world much.
There are so many iPhones, Samsung and other devices that costs more, but just start by googleing "Vertu".

And off course, ass all this year's Chinese flagship devices, this one is also coming wit Fugly black bazels, hiden by darker themes on promo photos.
I just don't get it, why????
Until last year they did not do that... And now, all chinese manufacturers does it!!!
It's like they think with that black s**t, we will think it doesn't have big bazels around screen!?
Like we are blind???
We are NOT!
It's much uglier to see live, than big bazels on iPhone...
I hope that trend will pass soon, as "panda look" of a phone did.

Still Note7 is the king of Android! No android phone can beat it. I had a high hope for Mate 9, but as it shows it is another standard android phone in this overwhelming market.

Jebus!!! The Porsche Design is the most expensive device I've ever seen. Not the best way to break into other markets and capitalize on the removal of the Note 7.

Huawei went into premium, so now they charge premium. Still undercut Samsung and Apple though. Personally, since smartphones have been commoditised, I'd rather go for oneplus or zte, even if it means concessions here and there.

AnonD-289575, 03 Nov 2016Excited for antutu score ..., Single and multicore geekbenc... moreGeekbench scores have already been released for the kirin 960 processor. It's much faster than other chips out there except for the Apple's A10 Fusion chip. The only question is if it will stand its ground when the SD 830 and other new chips are introduced but it trounces the SD 821 and the latest Exynos offering in all departments

5.9" screen - good!
IPS - bad! (battery & sunlight)
1080p - on a 5.9" screen = not so good! (no VR)
Expandable storage - good!
Battery size - ok (based on IPS screen size)
Speakers- good enough! (loud stereo speakers are for annoying kids on the bus!)
Cameras - looking good! (I look forward to the review)
Conclusion - a good effort by Huawei
Wish it was more available in the West
