I must admit it is refreshing to see phones being redesigned even if it is in an older style. I think a lot of companies have started to realise that the standard smart phone design is getting rather stale. The blackberry priv is just such an example of merging the old and the new. It combines classic blackberry with smart phone features (with varying degrees of success-my fingers are too big for the key board). I would also like to see some new innovations in phone design too. Maybe even another look into the Nokia Morph concept from 2008.

I think the claim shell phones will make a come back soon but certainly not at this price point.

maybe they should stop dicking around with fancy prices and start to make affordable android clamshells available in the real market as an option over the ever boring mass production candy bars that none of us has any choice but to get one anyway. The phone world used to be fun with all sorts of shapes only lacked decent software. Now we already have android which can be used for any sort of shape with that advantage of a touch screen but every other phone looks like an iphone or a samsung.
