Nert, 05 Nov 2016Or until it burns your house... *\(._.)/*There is another possibility ... let's say an affected Note7 specimen is being carried inside a vehicle & it catches fire (or explodes) while the car is in motion. If on a Highway on high-speed, I daresay that the PANIC caused by the ensuing explosion or the very sight of a sudden fiery Note7 burning inside the passenger-compartment, will by itself be the cause of an instantaneous road-accident, possibly involving other vehicles & innocent people as well. I shudder to think if this were to happen to anyone while driving on high-speed, it could easily turn into a chain-reaction collision/multiple-car pile-up.

Mankind already knows that it's not safe (& wise) to play with fire ... & if Samsung has successfully digested the fact that US-Airlines have banned Note7s in their Aircrafts, I could well assume that Samsung HQ has also FACTORED IN the resulting chain of law-suits & Insurance-complications (& loss of Brand-value) arising out of all the cumulative losses (God forbid on injuries & loss of life) if such a (road-accident) scenario were to actually play out ! This scenario is the likely "on-the-road" mishap-possibility, as against what could've possibly happened in the air if the US hadn't acted PROMPTLY & STERNLY (we all can imagine the ramifications in todays world) !

In the middle east its done already they capped the battery limit to 60%
the only solution to return it to 100% is to root the device

the next release will brick the phone completely, with nothing but a message on screen telling the user to return it.

Even so, 30 cases globally is nothing. After the day when the decision of discontinuing note 7, any note 7 didn't explode anymore. Just sweet silence. Why ???
