I absolutely love this phone but for £549 is way over priced here in UK! Not to mention the sucky build quality and that soon dual core phones with full hd will appear. Not a smart move google...

This phone is over-priced and over-privileged. It cost more than 500 euros, and can't even shoot 720p. No MicroSD for more memory, no dual-core (to compete with LG's high end phone for next year), and full of cheap building materials. Besides the flash for camera, it's just a Galaxy S with LESS features. Oh you get Stock 2.3? An update is not a feature man. In 2011, My money is going to LG Optimus 2x Tegra and I can root Stock 2.3 on there if I want, no thanks Samsung.

I don't find this phone outdated. 16 gb is enough to most users and personally I don't mind if it hasn't got fm radio. No HD video is disappointing. On the other hand it's got the second best processor still to be seen in a phone (after LG's dual core), super amoled screen, and probably great audio performance.
And let's not forget android gingerbread and google's updates.

phone is garbage. you(samsung) put a front camera (which is not necessary) but then in return you put no hd video recording or no memory card slot. android 2.3 dosent impress {me} cause a phone can be manually updated to 2.3 so this was a bad job on samsung. the phone was made too fast. bad job. the samsung vibrant is way better than the nexus s.

Well well well . PERSONALY i LOVE THIS PHONE is much much better than NOKIA´S N8 . i have N8 but i feel isolated with it . believe me i will sell my N8 to buy this phone . GOOGLE is taking over the world and im using Symbian :( . if i know in beginin i will never buy N8 . i swear im desperated with Nokia & Symbian .
dont forget Symiban is like windows 95 .

I already picked one this morning @ 8AM sharp.
I think this is Best Android Phone ever. Great Performance, Very Eligent Samsung Look, OS is Amazingly fast..(best out there for sure!). I have to Explore a lot more...will Post later...I will rate this Phone 9.5/10 the .5 % is because its not supporting 4G may be a Patch later will do (if at all possible)
