Duel, 10 Nov 2016iPhone is doing very well in China, last q iPhone sales in ... moreIt sold 10.8m in Q3 2015 not 2016 according to Strategic Analytics, only 7.5m. That is a massive fall of 31% made much worse by the fact the market in China grew by 15%. By anybody's standards that is not dominating the market, but a major downturn.

Apple is doing well because Android phones are a lot, whiles iOS is one so you need to make note on that

AnonD-602386, 09 Nov 2016Any os is better than ios even Symbian 40Symbian 40 does not exist;). That is called s40 and s40 was a java normal mobile phone system. Symbian series 60 and about are a totally something else. And yes, Symbian is better then ios, even then Android or wp, but i don't expect somebody that thinks, using an s40 java phone is like using a smartphone;), to understand what i am talking about!

AnonD-1825, 09 Nov 2016Number one in selling crappy phones :D sametime Apple colle... moreYou have a short memory. While Apple sure makes great profits, it did that when it was touting taking Chana by storm and it being the most important market to ensure Apples mobile growth. This seems to be forgotten now that Apple if failing (or even failed) in this key area by their own admission. India has been the latest attempt by Apple but similar to China it is failing there too.

Remember too, this and the next few months will always be good ones for Apple as they benefit from sales from new models, but the trend of iPhone sales is still down. Trying to hide behind this fact by bringing up profits is not meaningful here, it is just a diversion.

AnonD-1825, 09 Nov 2016First time since january iPhone is actually growing in Chin... moreRemember you're posting in this area and before you try to deny at least read and understand that the article said falls in China.

So as I can read, and there is another article just on China 84% Android

So I personally have seen a person go from S6 Edge to iPhone6S and NOT being close to the person I couldn't ask him, but having a memory card to not then he would have to figure out the memory he wanted in the iphone6S

I do know iTunes makes it impossible to actually have purchased music on a non iPhone so moving from iOs to Android Apple make it difficult to move

I think some are buying the phone as a status symbol but iOs is done in India also http://www.gsmarena.com/strategy_analytics_android_dominates_indian_smartphone_market_with_97_share-news-19811.php

Apple iPhones are not top tier specs so I'm India and China 12Mp cameras maybe sold on their 2014/2015 Android phones so faced with Android or an IPhone which cost multiple in these regions chose Android it is specifications led not status.

The point I am making is I have used 3 Operating System in upgrades and the switch seamless, it is only when you try to leave iOs (which I have NEVER done) that you encounter problems,

If you accept iOs and are happy it is a great experience is you stay with iOs, so for those I understand they like iOs like some like Android, so they will be paying a similar tariff to the iPhone.

People are lazy and simply won't research the phone, so are at the mercy of the salesperson recommendation

Add to that, despite that the phones are being advertised by friends who may own a flagship phone already

If I could have put another OS on it I think I would have kept it.

I can't believe with MS pretty much stopping production of all windows phones, selling all assets to FHD and they still haven't dropped into the "others" category.

Samsung is losing everywhere with their galaxy flops, huawei and Apple winning big time.

Interesting to see if Samsung can ever recover from this, propably not.
