I like how you are trying to act smart, but you are clueless of what you're talking about. Android's UI overall is as old as first Symbian device on the planet. Tell, me, what are we talking about? Now, that most probably, you never heard of the webOS, windows mobile 6, Symbian and Maemo, it clearly understandable that you think android actually has a modern UI while a real user is kind of very bored of it;). The only modern UI in the past 10 years is, guess who? Nope you did not guessed. It is called windows 10;). Actually the designe of the UI of windows 8 was made by designers. The only OS made by designers. And as we can all see, the whole web is using it more and more. Using windows 10 i am home everywhere i go, cause plain simple squared icons are, funny, everywhere to be found. Meaning, using windows mobile will also be a nice design integration everywhere you go;). Now, let's go to performance. Windows 10 Mobile is based on a new core, so will take a while until will be fully optimized for mobile handsets. but i am more then certain will be arriving their, and when that will happen, your android will again need a 20 cores CPU to keep up;).

No apps - I have all the apps which i have used in my android phone in my Lumia 640XL(I live in india and have better local app support and I can agree to the fact that some app doesn't have feature like andriod but I am happy with what I have)
Custom ROM - How many do you really see using custom ROM. I have more than 8 friends who is actually a Android mobile app developer but haven't using custom ROM. Sorry I havent seen single person so far who have used custom ROM. Every on who I met so far using the same launcher came with the mobile.

Great specs. Like the phone. Good another continuum windows phone thats is right in price. Hoping it comes in lazada philippines so i could buy. I like windows phone/windows 10 mobile. Its virus free. I have no worries in surfing porn sites and other malware website in my phone. Apps are not for all people, like me im just using fb, skype, messnger, and websites in microsoft edge. Im not a fan of COC or pokemon go. I play games in windows phone for casual games but few. But im a and old pc gamer from the era of red alert, conterstrike, starcraft, warcraft, DOTA.
Windows 10 mobile has the best UI in my opinion. Lives tile are the best. Static icons are windows 2.0 era and are patents of microsoft from windows. Statics icon, window mode, multiwindow, taskbar, etc patents of microsoft.
I dont like custom roms not official and buggy and not safe. as long as windows 10 continues windows 10 mobile continues.

Google Android came after both Blackberry & Windows and Windows was already as an OS
This us about choice, iOs no memory expansion, no sharing, Android poor Ram management, poor security.
Symbian was the only smartphone os and Samsung just made feature phones it could have gone differently if Samsung chose Windows and not Android, the app markets would follow
You talk about profit and that woud be Apple iOs as they make it near impossible to move, you need iTunes to play purchased music.
You can jump between Android, BB 10 and Windows without issue, and moving to iOs without issue from any of the three, the problem is when you change phones after using iPhones
There never will a stage fright on Windows or Blackberry, so in an ideal world having 4 operating systems is far superior to having just two,and when one of this need a monthly plaster, a phone with a virus is still a phone with a virus
Phoned are now mostly touch screens, so navigation in many cases similar
Samsung is developing its own operating system, in the main not to pay. Google a fee use Android
You really should stick to have your mother read the comments as already mentioned only puerile would bring cars into a phone discussion.

It's going to take a major UI overhaul combined with a major hardware breakthrough in order for them to crack even 10% of the global market share. I don't see either of those things happening.

Pointless IMO unless your willing to use it and help improve. Anyone can complain about what is lacking or needs improved on anything out there. But what are doing about it, except pointing it out.

Everyone knows that WM is more secure than Android and iOS (after all, the safest house in the neighborhood is the one nobody wants to break into).
Everyone knows that WM has the best performance (if by best you mean on par with a 1st-gen Moto G).
Everyone knows that WM has the best UI (if by best you mean the one that's changed the least since 2010).
Everyone knows that WM has the best apps (assuming there's a WM app called "the best apps).

I prefer a stable phone that is as secure as possible, has good battery management, good memory management, and the most advanced UI (live tiles better than static icons) that needs no custom skins. You can customize Win phones in other ways and make them look incredible.
Used a OnePlus 2 until a couple months ago when I switched to the 950XL. The Lumia is amazing and leaves the OnePlus in the dust in almost all aspects.

All 3 OS IOS, Andorid and Windows r different. Microsoft and Apple have own OS in both PC and Smartphone they don't need any other OS for profit :)

But.. E.G all a banking app is logging onto the website via the phone
and other ap like a weather app od a calculator perform a service
Whilst Android leads the field it has just had a HUGE wake up call STAGEFRIGHT virus
Windows does not have virus / nor could a Windows version of Stagefright ever work,
the opnly way you could get a virus into a Windows phone is to physically cover it with a living virus... but that is not what you mean
BTW the other infection free OS is Blackberry 10,
So Blackberry the cvompany is now using Andriod and has to wait like other to get the security patch
Windows and Blackberry do NOT have that problem
Wouyld you like Microsoft to stop making laptops also?
