What a shame. The only hope this project has is if someone buys it from Google and keeps the ball rolling. Google did say they were up for any potential buyers.

Was really looking forward to this device and it's release. To me this would have been ideal for my uses and upgrades.

Project Ara needs a disposable battery to be put on the market. I have concept idea for battery that can be developed. So this module design phone can be available to masses can i find some competition. Can contact be made with Google executives or law firms and demand this technology company to step up and compete.

The moment you give it a casing or even just silicone, you'll see the difference in holding nowadays phone with holding this one. Wouldn't want something that thick in my pocket. It's literally handycam size ...

Pretty sure the size of main board is the thickness of nowadays phone. Perhaps the design is intended to be bootable while no module attached, but ... Oh well. Think it's a no for me.
