the front looks EXACTLY like an s7 edge.... even has the square home button type fingerprint sensor and the higher ear piece with the branding right under it.. and obviously the dual curve 5.5" 1440p oled screen

The sensor placed at the back is a cost-cutting measure. How would you unlock your phone when you are at the office and the phone sits on the table in front of you ? With front-placed sensors, you just put your finger on it and it unlocks. With back-placed sensors you must pick up the phone from the table, which is cumbersome. The same when you are trying to pay for something with Android Pay or Samsung Pay or whatever. It's a cumbersome process.

I have watched all these reviews on youtube and I can tell you nothing beats the mate 8, maybe on camera only!

So am suprised Mate 9 has an 82 mark(which isn't bad considering it's charging speed)but I expected more. I guess we will still wait for some software updates but again those were artificial tools used to measure battery endurance I guess In real usage, mate 9 will still last longer and longer am pretty sure of that! And simple terms My friend I want you to know am a believer of real user experience of a particular device, not the benchmarks fiasco! Because real user experience is what most of us need in our daily encounter with our smartphones right????

I can't help you with your reasoning because you still those cry babies that always rely at benchmark's to prove a smartphones capabilities, grow up Mr! The real user and daily performance/experience is what matters alot. And by the i way that guy sometimes back who was also trolling about poor graphics on kirin processer especially the 950/955 but I was really surprised how much in real life the mate 8 I bought performed! I was surprised that beast crunched anything thrown at it including all those intense graphic games!!

Kirin ... moreLOL and the real world result from that is poor graphics and virtually indistinguishable difference in every day use for normal apps and certainly no better battery performance. Slow GPU means less heat which means they can bump up the CPU clock speeds, that's all this is.
Also flash mem/storage is much slower, nearly half than even Xiaomi's phones, on the Mate 9. Hopefully Pro fixes that. This is far more important for loading times.

Even with their poor graphics GPU as peceived was surprisingly better in real life user experience because there wasn't any graphic intense game that lagged on them. So I can only imagine how kirin 960 will perform with it's improved cores and graphics.
