And android itself has already achieved notification systems similar to that. Having the secondary screen is an eyesore, indeed. There's no way to hide it. It takes up screen real estate. It's just totally sucky.

For example when you get a call it uses the secondary display so you can seamlessly keep doing what you were, you can put app shortcuts there and seamlessly switch back and forth between your favourite apps, etc.

That secondary screen is an absolute eyesore. Xiaomi with its innovative near bezel free screen is just leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else. LG always struck me as always bringing new ideas to the table but in the end implementing them so badly that one has to wonder how their great ideas are so poorly executed. Maybe lack of proper R&D who knows.LG phones lack quality.They feel cheap and their software is bad.I still remember the LG Chocolate as being the sexiest phone ever but LG never makes any strides in market share. Somewhere along the line LG lacks some sort of quality control.

Why have secondary display if Xiaomi showed the world that the top portion of the phone do not be wasted with nothing else than sreen. Probably LG will follow xiaomi's ideal with a no bezel screen
