Anonymous, 22 Nov 2016What is so scary about it? Do you have something to hide? ... moreyou must be underage and not own your own property or something. Not as bad as screaming out on facebook that you're on a trip but a genius hacker that hacks on your phone or breaches google's data can easily know your schedule when you are away from home and when to steal your "abandoned" home. Anyway, no point to explain more when you dont seem to care about online security and privacy

I was assuming this was the way Niantic found to properly place their XM points on the Ingress game. They just have to record how often people use their phones (doing a Google search or Whatsapp, i.e.) on a given location, to get a saturation rate of a place. This way, schools, churches and touristical places could get the proper rate of XM points.

I don't think it's right to show this data about how crowded places are, as global terrorism is on the rise and what not. Google is just compromising public safety.

Mkdc, 21 Nov 2016The more androids out there, the more accurate these infos ... moreWhat is so scary about it? Do you have something to hide? The data google collect is for improvement. It makes our life more convenient. If you have something to hide you can disable location tracking, and stop using any smart phone since government has ways of collecting data to know more about you.

The more androids out there, the more accurate these infos get. Absolutely no other companies in the world can track live users as good as google does. Scary but useful
