Not the prettiest device but this isn't too bad with the 5.7" QHD screen, 7000mAh juice pack and what looks like very slim bezels. Besides the not so good look..this phone addresses 3 of my main gripes with phones (battery, bezels, large screen 5.5"-6.0"). For a reasonable price it can be a useful device.
I wish a lot of the flagships will pack at least 4500-5000mAh juice packs..we all need phones that can go all day, mostly heavy users myself included. So I won't dog this phone..good job Gionee.

I just hope it comes with a Qualcomm Soc and launch in India. Even though the phone looks ugly, I might get this if the quality is above average and priced within reasons.

If the phone is quite small, say 5", then 12mm thickness is fine. But if you are talking 5.7-6", then anything above 10mm is a strict no-no (at least for me).

My friend has Vibe P1 which is 5.5" and 10mm thick.... it feels too bulky and trying to use it one-handed is more uncomfortable than my Vibe Z2 Pro, which is 6" and 7.7mm thick.

The back design is very much reminiscent of Vertu phones and the thickness and weight is understandable due to the massive battery. Would be interesting to see how much screen on time it can provide on a full charge.
